The team works closely with Facilities, IT, People & Culture, and other business functions to ensure a safe, secure, and resilient workplace while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.\nThe Role:\nMorningstar is seeking a Security Analyst to support and execute the day-to-day physical security operations at our Mumbai office. In this role, you will serve as the primary local point of contact for security matters, managing security systems, responding to incidents, and supporting employees with security-related requests. You will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency of security platforms, ensuring compliance with policies, and promoting a strong culture of security awareness across the organization. You will also collaborate with regional and global teams on security initiatives, incident management, and continuous improvement of security processes.\nReports to: Global Director of Enterprise Resilience & Physical Security\nResponsibilities:\nServe as the primary operational point of contact for day-to-day physical security matters at the Mumbai office and coordinate with regional sites\nMonitor and respond promptly to security alerts, alarms, and notifications\nConduct regular operational checks of security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems\nSupport the Facilities team in managing access control systems, including access requests, audits, and compliance checks\nManage and maintain security technology platforms such as VMS and intrusion monitoring tools\nConduct periodic access reviews to ensure adherence to least-privilege principles and security policies\nMaintain accurate records, logs, and documentation of security system activities\nPromote a positive security culture and act as a visible point of contact for employee security concerns\nSupport security awareness initiatives, including training, campaigns, and internal communications\nAssist in developing awareness content such as emails, intranet updates, and digital signage\nAct as on-site coordinator for security incidents and escalate issues as appropriate\nPrepare detailed incident reports including timelines, actions taken, and follow-ups\nAssist with investigations related to security incidents, access anomalies, and policy violations\nCoordinate access for vendors, contractors, and service personnel in collaboration with Facilities\nSupport physical security risk assessments and site evaluations\nEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and local laws\nLiaise with building management, local authorities, and internal stakeholders on security matters\nSupport security-related projects, system upgrades, and new office setups\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Facilities, IT, People Team, and Legal\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree required; preferred in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field\n1-3 years of experience in physical or corporate security operations within a professional environment\nExperience with access control and video surveillance platforms (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, Milestone, Honeywell, Acre, Arcules, or similar)\nProficiency in CCTV/VMS platforms and security monitoring tools\nFamiliarity with physical security regulations in India, including the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005, and Maharashtra regulations\nWorking knowledge of fire safety, emergency response, and evacuation procedures\nExperience working with security dashboards, reporting tools, or ticketing systems\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate documentation\nStrong communication skills in English, both written and verbal\nService-oriented approach with professionalism and responsiveness\nAbility to exercise sound judgment in assessing and escalating risks\nSelf-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\nAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and global teams\nHigh level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential information\nCertifications such as PSP, CPP, or equivalent are an added advantage\nMorningstar is an equal opportunity employer.\nMorningstar's hybrid work environment gives you the opportunity to collaborate in-person each week as we've found that we're at our best when we're purposely together on a regular basis.
