The Senior Salesforce Software Engineer designs, develops, and supports scalable Salesforce solutions that enable Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Service business processes. This role partners with product management, business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to translate requirements into secure, maintainable solutions; leads complex development and integration work; supports release quality and operational stability; and mentors junior developers. The ideal candidate brings strong Salesforce platform expertise, experience with Agentforce and AI-enabled capabilities, and knowledge of enterprise data and integration technologies, including Informatica.\nPrimary responsibilities of the Senior Salesforce Software Developer role include working with core business partners in Sales, Finance, and Marketing to understand business requirements and provide Salesforce solutions in a timely manner.\nThis individual should take ownership of all programmatic requests and collaborate on specifications based on stakeholder requirements.\nThis role also acts as mentor to junior level developers (40%).\nWork with product management team and internal customers to understand the business requirements and transform them into scalable solutions on the Force.com platform (10%). Develop, enhance, and maintain the integration of Salesforce with any external systems (10%).\nDesign, build, and support Salesforce Agentforce capabilities, including agents, actions, prompts, guardrails, and integrations that deliver secure, scalable, and measurable AI-enabled business outcomes.\nFor any given business requirement, analyze the requirements to make the appropriate choice between point and click tools vs custom apex code (10%).\nDevelop high quality, reusable and maintainable code respecting the governor limits and API limits (10%).\nSupport legacy CRM SQL Server based application (5%).\nCreate and execute Unit and Integration tests ensuring proper test code coverage of above 75%.\nReview junior developer code (5%).\nAssist with quality assurance testing, both internal testing and guiding user acceptance testing (5%). Release management, including preparation and deployment of Salesforce Packages as well as maintaining version control. Proactively identify issues that may arise during deployment (5%).\nJob Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 5 years of relevant engineering experience in Software Engineer or similar positions.\nIn alternative, we accept a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 3 years of relevant engineering experience in Software Engineer or similar positions.\n3 years of working experience in Salesforce development to be able to start the development from scratch and admin.\nExperience with Sales and Service cloud.\nExperience in Lightning components and Apex class. Experience in SQL Server 2008/2012, ASP/ASP.NET.\nExperience with Salesforce Agentforce, Einstein, generative AI patterns, prompt design, agent actions, data grounding, security controls, and responsible AI governance is preferred.\nKnowledge of Informatica and enterprise integration concepts, including APIs, middleware, ETL and data pipelines, event-driven patterns, identity and access controls, error handling, monitoring, and integrations between Salesforce and platforms such as Oracle, Snowflake, and other external systems.\nExperience with Salesforce.com design, configuration, and custom development using Apex Classes, Triggers, Visualforce pages, data migration tools, SOQL & SOSL.\nCompensation and Benefits\nAt Morningstar we believe people are at their best when they are at their healthiest.
