We are seeking a motivated Preventative Maintenance Technician willing to learn. This role will provide exciting opportunities to work for a multidimensional company in a fast-paced, growing industry.\nJob Responsibilities\nThe Preventative Maintenance Technician will have a basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to successfully provide scheduled maintenance of CNC production equipment through the use of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment. Duties include but are not limited to.\nDaily travel from home to Customer facilities with occasional overnight hotel stays required when servicing remote Customer locations within the designated coverage territory or when participating in remote training programs.\n\nDemonstrating a desire to help others and be a team member.\n\nApplying machine tool manuals, technical documents, internal and vendor resources to research machine parts and service.\n\nProvide a direct communication link between the Customer and the Morris Service Group.\n\nAligning with safety laws and maintaining a clean, orderly work area.\n\nPromoting and performing preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment and conducting maintenance training to customer employees.\n\nPossessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company.\n\nThrough service and Customer relationships, build brand dedication.\n\nConduct travel and work in a safe manner, constantly learning new technology and soft skills.\n\nJob Requirements\nProficient English verbal and written communication and Customer relation skills.\n\nAble to interact and effectively communicate in person and over the phone with customer and co-workers.\n\nPresent a professional image.\n\nMust be adaptable to changes and able to take care of change, delays, or general work-related issues.\n\nBasic digital literacy and proven understanding of MS Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook and other business programs.\n\nMust have, and/or be willing/capable of being trained to develop, electro-mechanical skills (motors, drives, transformers etc.).\n\nKnowledge of machine tool manufacture, installation, operation, maintenance & repair and/or a broad shop background - is a plus.\n\nBasic mechanical and logical troubleshooting skills are a must.\n\nRational decision making and problem-solving skills.\n\nManufacturing experience in CNC machine tool repair a plus.\n\nExperience with multi-control systems environment is required, troubleshooting skills a plus.\n\nThe ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.\n\nExcellent technical, communication, and presentation skills.\n\nOther Functions:\nPerform related duties as required.\n\nThe duties listed above are intended only as illustration of the various types of work that may be performed.
