If speculative CVs are sent, no fee will be applicable - please direct all queries to the relevant Resourcing Partner.\nQuantity Surveyor\nGuildford\nAn opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team at Galliford Try.\nIdeally, you will based in or around the Guildford area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region.\nWhat you will be doing:\nAnalysis of tender allowances\nThe measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings), for valuations, variations and final accounts.\nAgreement of valuation dates and preparing, submitting interim valuations in accordance with those dates.\nAdministering and/or advising on Main Contract and Subcontract conditions\nSubcontract and Design Procurement\nSubcontract payments, variations and final accounts\nSubmission of Cost Value Reconciliations\nPreparation of cost to complete\nCash management and maximisation\nCash Flow and Turnover forecast\nProvision of standard reports\nInternal Valuations/CVRs and subcontract liability reports in accordance with schedule of accounting period end dates and deadlines\nAbout You:\nYou will have experience of working within the Construction industry for a main contractor, specifically on Design and Build; as well as sound knowledge of JCT and NEC Conditions of Contract.\nThe ability to work independently as well as within a team is essential.\nYou will be degree qualified and member of the RICS or IOB (or moving towards professional membership).\nWhat We Can Offer in Return:\nWith an impressive order book of over £3.8 billion we are one of the industry’s leading principal contractors, affording you the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most exciting projects offering you stability as well as the chance to stretch your capabilities and realise long held career goals.
