You will support projects that provide critical AI, machine learning, simulation, situational awareness, and mission planning capabilities to a diverse range of Department of Defense (DoD) customers.\nAs a Cloud Software Engineer at MORSE, you will work on cutting-edge technology and directly contribute to the success of our applications and our customers’ missions. You will collaborate with teams of engineers and data scientists to design, develop, and deliver software products that meet high standards of scalability, reliability, and security.\nResponsibilities\nDesign and develop scalable, efficient, and reliable software applications using Python.\n\nDevelop and maintain cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code practices.\n\nOversee the deployment of cloud services and ensure compliance with security guidelines and best practices.\n\nParticipate in design reviews, code reviews, and collaboration with your team to ensure high-quality code and knowledge sharing.\n\nStay up to date with the latest software engineering trends, tools, and technologies.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products, ensuring seamless integration and deployment.\n\nContribute to new codebases that emphasize object orientation, modularity, and maintainability.\n\nRequirements\nU.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance (TS/SCI).\n\nStrong proficiency in Python.\n\n1+ years of hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).\n\nExperience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.\n\nExperience with Kubernetes and Helm charts.\n\nFamiliarity with Agile development methodologies and microservice architectures.\n\nExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, testing, and deployment in cloud environments. \n\nStrong communication skills and self-motivation.\n\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, and 1+ years of software engineering experience.\n\nNice to Have\nAWS Solutions Architect Associate certification.\n\nSecurity+ or equivalent security certification.\n\nMORSE Corp’s salary range for this role carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to, prior experience, education, skills and expertise, location, internal equity, and other factors that are job related and consistent with business need. Therefore, final offer amounts may vary from the amount stated. Depending on role eligibility, total compensation may also include bonus, stock, 401(k) match, paid time off, medical, dental, vision and life insurance.\nEmployees also receive 10 paid holidays per year. MORSE maintains an “open” leave policy that does not restrict exempt, regular full-time employees to a specific number of paid sick or vacation days.
