The Quality Manager will lead, manage, document, monitor, and analyze the quality system intheir assigned region project portfolio. Also, ensure necessary corrective and preventative actions are taken, and that project teams are staffed, trained, and aligned by scope. \n\nLocation: Any home base location in the continental United States, preference given to those in Texas and Oklahoma.\n\nTravel: between 25% to 50%, busier times could reach 75%\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\n\nLead Mortenson’s quality system for an assigned region project portfolio\n\nOversee Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Quality Management planning and execution from notice to proceed to final acceptance \n\nOversee the 3-Phase Process, DFW-ITP planning, quality staffing and training \n\nEstablish and lead quality initiatives \n\nSupport supplier and design excellence for the Solar group portfolio, partnering with design, supply chain, and project teams to strengthen quality requirements and design-to-field quality checks.\n\nWrite, review, and update quality procedures, process maps, and standard work to support consistent execution across the group portfolio and incorporate lessons learned and continuous improvements.\n\nReview project specifications for quality requirements \n\nManage Quality Incidents and Reporting, and Non-Conformance Notices \n\nResolve issues with/without guidance\n\nPartner with third-party design and testing agencies \n\nPartner with subcontracts and suppliers, including quality program reviews \n\nCoach and mentor Quality Engineers, manage career development \n\nQUALIFICATIONS\n\nBachelor’s degree in construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent field \n\nMinimum three years’ experience in the design, engineering, manufacturing, or construction industry with experience leading a quality system\n\nMinimum one to two years of people management experience\n\nSolar or renewables experience preferred \n\nStrong attention to detail to organize and manage multiple project tasks \n\nPossess basic understanding of construction law, EPC contracts, customer requirements, and generally accepted business practices\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office and Procore, ArcGIS, and Build Cognition \n\nProven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills \n\nKnowledge of one or more quality systems: i.e., Malcolm Baldridge, ISO 9000, Lean, Kaizen, Army Corps of Engineers, Mortenson’s Quality System, continuous improvement, value streams, etc. \n\nExperience with issue management, root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and inspection of work put in place \n\nCompleted training in basic project management and supervision \n\nCurrent driver’s license \n\nA few benefits offered include: \n(for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week)\n\nMedical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverage \n\nDental plan \n\n401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson match \n\nPaid time off, holidays, and other paid leaves \n\nEmployer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insurance \n\nNo-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resources\n\nTuition reimbursement \n\nAdoption Assistance \n\nGym Membership Discount Program \n\nThe base pay range for this role is $100,100 - $150,200.
