You will help establish the technical foundation for how internal software is built, deployed, integrated, secured, and maintained across the company.\nPart of the role involves helping operationalize software engineering standards, supporting internal builders using AI-assisted development tools, improving reliability and deployment practices, and helping design scalable infrastructure for a rapidly expanding internal application portfolio. The ideal candidate enjoys moving fluidly between architecture discussions, debugging production issues, designing data models, reviewing pull requests, deploying infrastructure, and helping non-traditional developers build high-quality internal tools safely and effectively.\nWhat You'll Do:\nBuild and support the company's internal technical platform: Help establish engineering standards and operational practices for a growing ecosystem of internally developed applications and AI-enabled tools. Support internal builders using Claude Code and related AI development environments by providing guidance around source control, modular design, testing, deployment, documentation, and maintainability.\nImprove software operations and production reliability: Help implement production-grade operational practices across internal systems, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, deployment workflows, environment management, uptime management, and post-incident review processes.\nOwn and extend the data platform: Maintain and expand the company’s Azure Fabric Lakehouse architecture across bronze, silver, and gold layers. Build and monitor ingestion pipelines, improve reliability and observability, resolve data quality issues, and help translate business questions into well-modeled reporting datasets and semantic layers.\n Support internal analytics and operational stakeholders: Work directly with operational, billing, credentialing, and clinical leadership to support reporting requests, operational tooling, and scalable self-service data access.\nWhat We're Looking For:\nRequired\n4+ years building and supporting production software systems, data platforms, or cloud infrastructure\nStrong software engineering fundamentals, including Git workflows, testing, modular architecture, debugging, and code review\nStrong SQL and Python skills\nExperience building and maintaining production ETL/ELT pipelines\nExperience working in cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP\nComfort operating across both application engineering and data engineering domains\nExperience supporting or deploying internal operational software systems\nFamiliarity with modern AI-assisted development workflows and tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or similar environments\nUnderstanding of security and governance principles for regulated or sensitive data environments\nStrong communication skills and ability to work directly with non-technical stakeholders\nAbility to independently own technical systems end-to-end\nNice to Have\nDevOps or infrastructure-as-code experience\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines and production deployment workflows\nSQL Server administration experience\nExperience in healthcare, ABA, EHR/EMR, claims, or other regulated environments\nHIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST, SOC 2, or related compliance exposure\nWhy This Role Matters:\nThis role is foundational to how Mosaic scales technology over the next several years.
