Reporting to the CFO, this newly created role is perfect for a first-time FC (or one with a few years under their belt) ready to bring their technical rigour to a fast-paced scale-up.\nWhat you’ll do\nResponsibilities include:\nOwn financial control and reporting across our AU, NZ and SE Asia entities\nRun end-to-end month-end/year-end close and prepare AASB-compliant financial statements\nManage group consolidation, balance sheet integrity and audit-ready records\nOversee tax compliance across jurisdictions with external advisors\nOwn cash management, rolling forecasts and banking operations across APAC\nManage inter-company cash movements and monitor FX exposure\nBuild and maintain the Group's financial risk and internal controls framework\nSupport budgeting, forecasting and Board reporting (CFO presents, you build the detail)\nOwn and improve finance systems and processes as we scale\nManage and mentor the offshore bookkeeping team\nExperience you’ll bring\nThe ideal candidate will have:\nCA or CPA qualified, with 4+ years' post-qualification experience in a Professional Services firm, as Financial Controller or equivalent role\nProven experience either owning month-end close and statutory reporting end-to-end, or contributing materially to the process\nComfort preparing detailed financial schedules and analysis to support Board or investor reporting\nPeople leadership experience, ideally managing remote/offshore team members\nStrong Excel/systems skills and experience with cloud accounting platforms (e.g. Xero, NetSuite).\nYou'll stand out if you have:\nPrior experience in a health-tech or other regulated scale-up environment.\nExperience working in a VC- or PE-backed business.\nExposure to multi-entity or multi-jurisdictional environments.\nA track record of building and improving finance processes in a growing business.\nWhat’s on offer\nWe support a hybrid model, with our Sydney-based team spending three days (M,W,F) in the office, with flexibility to work from home.
