Join us for what's next.\nWe are hiring an Applied AI Engineer to build AI agents and intelligent product capabilities that transform how finance teams work.\nThis is a product engineering role - not an isolated prototyping or research role. You will own agent-based features end to end: from architecture and evaluation through backend integration, deployment, and operation in production.\nYour Responsibilities\nBuild and Ship AI Agents\nDesign and build agents that automate complex finance workflows.\n\nOwn features from initial concept and prototype through production deployment.\n\nIntegrate agents deeply with our backend services, APIs, data model, permissions, and product workflows.\n\nDesign how agents securely access and use data from across the Moss platform.\n\nTurn emerging AI capabilities into reliable, customer-facing product features.\n\nEvaluate and Improve Agent Performance\nBuild systematic evaluations for agent quality, reliability, and business impact.\n\nCreate representative test datasets, evaluation criteria, regression tests, and human-review processes.\n\nMeasure and improve accuracy, latency, cost, and user experience.\n\nEstablish observability and feedback loops that make agent behavior understandable and continuously improvable.\n\nDevelop the AI Application Architecture\nApply context-engineering techniques such as RAG, MCP and knowledge graphs.\n\nDesign prompts, tools, memory, workflows and orchestration strategies for production agents.\n\nSelect and use appropriate orchestration frameworks, such as Google ADK, LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or comparable technologies.\n\nBuild appropriate guardrails, approval steps, and human-in-the-loop controls for sensitive financial workflows.\n\nIntegrate Machine-Learning Capabilities\nCollaborate with data scientists to integrate machine-learning models into our production systems.\n\nBuild the services, data flows, APIs, and operational tooling required to make models usable within the product.\n\nTake responsibility for the production integration rather than handing prototypes to another engineering team.\n\nAbout You\nYou are a seasoned software engineer with experience building and operating production applications.\n\nYou are highly proficient in Python and/or Java and comfortable working across backend services, APIs, data, and application architecture.\n\nYou have built and shipped at least one agent or LLM-powered product capability end to end.\n\nYou have personally integrated agents into a broader product and backend architecture - not only developed standalone prototypes.\n\nYou have practical experience evaluating agents or other non-deterministic AI systems.\n\nYou understand how to provide agents with the right data and context while respecting security, permissions, and privacy.\n\nYou have hands-on experience with prompt engineering, context engineering, and agent orchestration.\n\nYou balance rapid experimentation with reliable, maintainable production engineering.\n\nYou communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and data science.\n\nRelevant Technologies\nYou do not need experience with every technology below.
