The selected candidate’s main role will be for providing first-line technical support for users, devices, applications and connectivity, helping maintain reliable and secure IT services across the organisation. The position will report to the IT Manager and forms part of the IT Team and will work closely with other IT staff and approved service providers, prioritising incidents by business impact and escalating issues beyond the role's authority or competence.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nThe role includes responsibility for the following areas:\n\nIT Technical Support: Provide first-line technical support, troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues, and escalate complex problems as required.\n\nHardware & Software Management: Install, configure and maintain computers, printers, peripherals, operating systems and business applications, including Microsoft 365.\n\nUser Account & Security Management: Manage user accounts, access permissions and device security in line with company policies and procedures.\n\nNetwork & Systems Support: Troubleshoot network connectivity, assist with backups and provide IT support for production systems and equipment.\n\nIT Administration & Continuous Improvement: Maintain accurate IT records, manage support requests, assist users and contribute to IT projects and system improvements.\n\nQualifications and Experience\n\nAn IT diploma at Level 5, a relevant equivalent certification, or demonstrable equivalent practical experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.\n\nAt least one year of experience providing first-line technical support in an IT environment.\n\nPractical troubleshooting skills covering computer hardware, Windows 11, Microsoft 365 or equivalent office applications, printers and common peripherals.\n\nAbility to install and configure approved operating systems and applications, use ticketing and remote support tools, and maintain clear technical records.\n\nWorking knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi and VPN troubleshooting, together with account administration, MFA, patching and endpoint security
