Software Engineer, Content AI

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the Content AI team in Warsaw. This team applies AI to content-related processes, including search, voice assistant capabilities, subtitles, live captions, translations, metadata tagging, and content generation workflows. In this role, you will focus primarily on backend engineering: developing, testing, deploying, and monitoring scalable microservices that support AI-powered features. You do not need to build AI models from scratch, but you should be comfortable working with systems that host, integrate, and serve models in production.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable backend APIs and microservices powering search, voice, subtitles, captions, translations, and content workflows.
• Build services with a focus on high availability, low latency, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Work with ML Engineers to integrate hosted NLP, ASR, and AI models into production backend systems.
• Write clean, well-tested code and contribute to reusable libraries, patterns, and engineering standards.
• Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and improve services running in distributed cloud environments.
• Use monitoring, tracing, profiling, and load-testing tools to identify bottlenecks and improve performance.
• Apply data modeling, query optimization, caching, logging, and observability practices to increase reliability.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, TPMs, engineering leads, and other stakeholders in sprint planning, delivery, and production support.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of software development experience building backend cloud application systems.
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Strong experience with Kotlin or Python, or similar backend programming languages.
• Experience with backend frameworks such as Spring Boot, Bottle, Gunicorn, or similar JVM/Python frameworks.
• Experience designing and building APIs using REST, gRPC, or GraphQL.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and infrastructure tooling such as Terraform, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, production troubleshooting, observability, security, performance optimization, and scalable backend design.
