From developing next-generation products to supporting critical customer programmes, our teams play an important role in enabling the future of mobility and intelligent systems.\nDriven by legacy and powered by innovation, we are committed to creating an environment where talented people can grow, collaborate and make a meaningful impact while helping our customers achieve success.\nAI Platform Engineer\nATLAS is evolving from a telemetry and engineering data platform into an intelligent engineering decision platform.\nThe AI Platform Engineer will lead the development of the foundational AI capabilities requiredto enable AI-powered workflows, engineering copilots, knowledge discovery, and autonomous agent capabilities across the ATLAS ecosystem.\nThe role is responsible fordesigning and implementing the AI platform, integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), knowledge graph technologies, and machine learning inference capabilities into ATLAS products and services.\nThis role will work closely with Product Management, Architecture, and Engineering teams to transform engineering knowledge into actionable intelligence.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, build, and operatesecure, scalable AI platforms and services.\nOwn the end-to-end lifecycle of AI platform development, from architecture and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.\nEvaluate, integrate, and manage Large Language Models, embeddings, vector databases, and AI infrastructure components.\nSupport development of AI-powered copilots, assistants, and autonomous agents.\nOnboard and manage new AI models while optimising performance, cost, reliability, and security.\nImplement monitoring, evaluation, auditability, and safety frameworks for AI systems.\nCollaborate with software engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into customer-facing products and internal tooling.\nDevelop automation solutions that improve engineering productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.\nPreferred Skills and Desired Experience\nExperience building platforms, AI gatewaysin production\n\nExperience building APIs, backend services, and platform infrastructure.\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines, source control, and infrastructure automation.\nHands-on work with Docker containers, security-focused architecture, and multi-provider integrations (cloud compute + frontier model providers)\nFamiliarity with MLOps, model onboarding, compute orchestration, and infrastructure for large-scale AI usage\nProficiencyin Python and experience with additionallanguages\nKnowledge of Kubernetes, container orchestration, observability, and infrastructure-as-code tools\nPassion for turning complex engineering problems into simple, reliable, and secure AI-powered outcomes\nWhat we can offer you\nIn return for everything you bring to the table, we can ensure an exciting, challenging role in a dynamic business surrounded by some of the best people in their respective fields.\nAt Motion Applied we firmly believe it’s the relationships and friendships we create while working that make us special.
