The key objectives of the role are to build on our success in existing established motorsports series, such as F1, WEC, NASCAR and IndyCar.\nThe role includes driving engagement with prospective and existing clients, responding to requests for quotation and guiding marketing effort and technical selection. Working closely with our engineering team in the UK and the US this role will support the delivery of the annual and 5-year financial and strategic goals.\nLocation within the UK. Travel is required globally.\nPrincipal Accountabilities\nACCOUNT MANAGEMENT\nSupport the Head of Motorsport Business development by proactively seeking and lead the early identification of new business opportunities worldwide.\nQualify specific opportunities and position Motion Applied to win.\nRespond and manage requests for information/quotation.\nMonitor and review progress of major design-wins and key partnerships that accelerate growth. \n\nSALES MANAGEMENTMaintain along with the Head of Motorsport Business Management a robust sales pipeline that is both credible and transparent, meeting the required sales targets.\nAftersales customer support reporting business opportunities.\nUtilise online sales channels to identify, follow up leads and set up meetings.\nRegularly review customer forecast and revenue projections against plan.\nIdentify gaps in sales coverage and proactively cover where priority is clear.\nOwn/oversee contract negotiation where required.\n\nSTRATEGIC GROWTHSupport the Motorsport portfolio inputs to 5-year Strategic Business Plan.\nRely on trends and market analysis to assist the preparation of a well-informed and quantified growth plan for the Motorsport portfolio.\nContinuously monitor and analyse competitor activities in the market.\nProvide market intelligence and clearly defined customer needs to the Product Management teams to support the associated Product Line strategies and roadmaps.\n\nORGANISATIONAL ALIGNMENTWork closely with Sales, product, programme, engineering and production colleagues.\nEnsure coordination of marketing strategies with other parts of the organisation.\nSupporting the necessary arbitration and alignment of product features and costs with the Product Management teams.\nSupport the ongoing management of associated business processes.\n\nMARKET POSITIONINGEnsure Motion Applied is recognised both internally and externally as an innovator and raise its profile as technology leader in the global Motorsport market.\nWorking with the Marketing function, support the development of key marketing material and targeted messaging for customers.\n\nKnowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience\nPrevious experience in a Business Development / Sales role within a technical industry is essential. Motorsport series products sales experience is desirable. \nDemonstrable track record of defining differentiated technical offerings aligned with the customers strategy or challenges faced.\nAbility to develop a qualified sales pipeline, manage, lead and close high value technical B2B sales.\nWriting and presenting complex, high value proposals and a keen eye for detail.\nPrevious marketing experience with technology products.\nStrong technical background. Engineering or Science Degree desirable.\nKnowledge of motorsport, electrification or electronic products and services, including data analytical and telemetry software is desirable.\nStrong communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting to internal and external executive audiences.\nTeam player with effective and proven interpersonal skills.\nFluent written and spoken English language skills.
