This role will directly contribute to the success of the company by assisting with both customer and internal facing visualization. The ideal candidate is capable of working hands-on to develop and refine an existing codebase that touches nearly all aspects of an autonomous vehicle. The capability to ramp up is a must and a deep feeling of ownership over the code they and the team works with is critical for success.\nRole Responsibilities:\nOwn, architect and implement visualization solutions that reach every one of Motional’s customers.\nCollaborate with a wide variety of teams and disciplines within the company, including but not limited to: Autonomy, Perception and Mapping.\nContribute to other applications that handle visualization for internal, on vehicle use.\nEnhance and own best practices with regards to automated testing of user interfaces.\nDrive best practices around performance, scalability and maintainability.\nShip quickly and iterate in a product driven environment.\nDesign initiative experiences for complex, data-heavy workflows.\nQualifications:\nStrong proficiency in C++ or Java\nClear communication skills and cross-functional capabilities.\nAbility to work with high ownership and autonomy.\nGreat interpersonal skills and ability to mentor and delegate to other engineers at various levels of relative seniority.\nA well-established technical design and documentation habit.\nCapability to work directly with customers to identify needs.\nBonus Points(not required):\nPrevious experience with autonomous vehicles\nProficiency in Kotlin\nA love for the continuous delivery of value.\nExperience in Game Development or 3D Visualization\nAn understanding of what separates good UX flow from bad.\nThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors including but not limited to specific skills, experience and expertise, role location, certifications, licenses, and business needs.
