This role is responsible for keeping freight activities organized, visible, and moving on schedule across carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouses, and internal teams.\nThe ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple shipments and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. This role will work closely with the Senior Manager, Logistics & Trade Compliance and will provide operational support across Motive’s logistics network.\nTrade compliance is a supporting responsibility rather than the primary focus of this role. The Logistics Coordinator will help collect and maintain required shipment documentation, identify missing or inconsistent information, and escalate compliance questions to the appropriate owner.\nNote: This is a remote position. Candidates should be located in or near Louisville, Kentucky, and able to collaborate effectively with U.S. warehouses, carriers, 3PL partners, and Motive stakeholders across time zones. The role may occasionally require schedule flexibility to support shipment escalations or partner operating hours.\nWhat You'll Do:\nShipment Coordination and Execution \nCoordinate domestic and international shipments from booking through delivery.\nPrepare shipment requests and confirm shipment details, including origin, destination, service level, quantities, weights, dimensions, and requested delivery dates.\nCoordinate with freight forwarders, parcel carriers, brokers, warehouses, and 3PL partners to support timely shipment execution.\nTrack shipment milestones and proactively communicate delays, exceptions, and changes to internal stakeholders.\nConfirm proof of delivery and update shipment records after delivery.\nSupport shipment approvals and ensure required information is available before freight is released.\nCarrier, Forwarder, and 3PL Coordination\nServe as a day-to-day contact for assigned transportation and logistics partners.\nRequest and compare freight quotes and support routing decisions based on cost, service, and delivery requirements.\nFollow up on pickup scheduling, delivery appointments, tracking gaps, claims, accessorial charges, and service issues.\nMaintain current contact lists, routing instructions, rate information, and service-level documentation.\nSupport regular carrier and 3PL performance reviews by preparing shipment data, issue logs, and basic KPI reporting.\nEscalate recurring service failures, cost concerns, and operational risks to the Senior Manager, Logistics & Trade Compliance.\nShipment Data, Systems, and Reporting\nMaintain accurate shipment, tracking, freight-cost, and delivery information in Motive’s systems and shared trackers.\nReconcile shipment records against carrier, forwarder, warehouse, and 3PL updates; investigate and resolve discrepancies.\nPrepare recurring reports covering shipment status, on-time delivery, open exceptions, freight spend, accessorials, and other logistics KPIs.\nSupport invoice review by matching freight invoices to shipment records, quotes, approvals, and delivery documentation.\nIdentify opportunities to improve shipment visibility, data quality, standard work, and logistics reporting.\nFollow documented procedures and recommend updates when processes or systems change.\nDocumentation and Trade Compliance Support \nCollect and organize commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, proof of delivery, shipping instructions, and other required shipment records.\nConfirm that shipment documentation is complete and route missing or inconsistent information for correction.\nMaintain organized records for audits, broker requests, shipment reviews, and internal reporting.\nCoordinate with customs brokers and internal stakeholders to obtain information requested for routine shipments.\nEscalate classification, valuation, country-of-origin, licensing, sanctions, or other trade-compliance questions to the Senior Manager, Logistics & Trade Compliance or the designated subject-matter owner.\nThis role does not independently determine product classification, provide legal advice, or own Motive’s trade-compliance program.\nCross-Functional Support and Continuous Improvement \nPartner with Fulfillment, Inventory, Planning, Finance, Sourcing, Customer Support, and other teams to coordinate logistics activities.\nSupport new carrier, forwarder, warehouse, and 3PL implementations.\nHelp document standard operating procedures, escalation paths, and shipment workflows.\nParticipate in process-improvement initiatives that reduce delays, manual work, errors, and avoidable logistics costs.\nProvide clear, timely updates on open actions, risks, and decisions.\nWhat We're Looking For:\nRequired Knowledge and Skills\nWorking knowledge of transportation, freight, parcel, warehouse, or 3PL operations.\nStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple shipments, priorities, and deadlines at once.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional communication with external logistics partners.\nStrong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to maintain accurate operational records.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including filters, lookups, pivot tables, and basic data analysis.\nAbility to investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and drive issues to resolution.\nComfortable working independently in a remote environment while maintaining reliable follow-through and communication.\nAbility to work with ERP, transportation-management, warehouse-management, carrier, or logistics platforms.\nExperience\n2+ years of experience in logistics coordination, transportation operations, freight forwarding, warehouse operations, supply chain, or a related field.\nExperience coordinating with parcel carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouses, or 3PL providers.\nExperience tracking shipments and managing delivery exceptions across multiple regions or service levels.\nExperience reviewing freight invoices, shipment documentation, or carrier performance data is preferred.\nExperience supporting consumer electronics, hardware, technology, or high-volume shipping operations is a plus.\nEducation\nAssociate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field is preferred;
