You will research OEM telematics offerings, analyze vehicle network traffic, and develop practical approaches to capture and interpret data that powers new product capabilities and delivers valuable insights to customers.\nYou will drive vehicle coverage initiatives from research through validation, using live vehicle debugging, log analysis, data scraping, and reverse-engineering techniques.\nWhat You’ll Do\nResearch vehicle network signals, proprietary OEM data, and field logs to identify valuable telemetry parameters.\nAnalyze wiring diagrams, body builder guides, and related OEM documentation to determine vehicle connection and data-access strategies.\nConnect to vehicle networks, capture and analyze logs, and document findings for engineering and product teams.\nUse live vehicle debugging, data scraping, reverse engineering, and custom scripts to expand vehicle coverage.\nProvide technical insights that inform new telematics features and improve the interpretation of vehicle data.\nTravel to customer locations to interface with vehicles and validate coverage solutions.\nDrive vehicle coverage projects in partnership with global, cross-functional teams.\nWhat We’re Looking For\n4+ years of experience analyzing automotive vehicle network traffic or working with vehicle telematics systems.\nBachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, software engineering, automotive engineering, or a related field.\nHands-on experience interfacing with vehicles and vehicle communication networks.\nProficiency in C, C++, Python, or an equivalent programming language.\nExperience using physical debugging tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, or scan tools.\nFamiliarity with reverse-engineering tools and hardware such as Vehicle Spy, PCAN, or SavvyCAN.\nWorking knowledge of automotive standards, including SAE J1979, J1939, ISO 15765, WWH-OBD, OBD-II, UDS, J1708, or J1587.\n Pay Transparency\nYour compensation may be based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications.
