Come join our team to work on real-world projects with a real-world impact.\nJob Description\nMotorola Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Android Software Engineer to develop innovative, mission-critical device-based solutions for our Android enabled two-way radios.\nThis role focuses on android platform development while offering the opportunity to enhance your skills in a technology-driven and collaborative environment.\nBasic Requirements\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications or Computer Science.\n\nSolid understanding of software engineering principles, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.\n\nKnowledge of the full SDLC with experience delivering products or services to end users.\n\nKnowledge of Java or Kotlin programming.\n\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills.\n\n Nice to Have Experience\nUnderstanding of Linux kernel concepts, including memory management, interrupt and event handling, synchronization mechanisms, subsystem infrastructure, CPU resource management, and file system operations within the Linux kernel environment.\n\nExisting knowledge of the Android platform.\n\nFamiliarity with Android framework components (e.g., Bluetooth, sensors, widgets, and services).\n\nAndroid development using Java or Kotlin and familiarity with Android SDK, NDK, and Android Studio.\n\nKnowledge of C/C++\n\nFamiliarity with different device driver frameworks for Linux.\n\nAbility to read and interpret schematics and hardware design documentation.\n\nFamiliarity with a variety of test equipment, including hardware debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic tools.\n\nFamiliarity with automated build systems, continuous integration, and deployment frameworks.\n\nIn return for your expertise, we’ll support you in this new challenge with coaching & development every step of the way.
