We are now looking to further expand with an additional Cloud Platform Engineer to support our Platform and Operations Team based out of our Uxbridge office.\nAlta Avigilon Video injects intelligence into their approach to security and all their solutions. They help organisations see, understand, and act on their surroundings to protect people, business, and reputation in real-time. We’re proud that our department comprises 24 nationalities and we’re always looking to increase the variety of ideas and points of view at Alta Video.\nWe have an office in Uxbridge (West London) and fully embrace a hybrid home/office working model, with an aim for 2 days in the office.\nAt Alta Video you will make a defining contribution to the development of our award winning product, which part of Motorola Solution’s a next-generation security solutions, by:\nDeveloping and scaling our cloud platform for both R&D as well as production environments.\n\nManaging the day-to-day operation of our infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments, including both Google Cloud Platform and AWS.\n\nAdopting and driving a security-first mindset across everything you do.\n\nTaking the time to Improve existing work, in regards to processes and tools.\n\nStaying up to date with the latest developments within design, technology, and security, and suggesting short and long-term solutions.\n\nTogether with our software development teams, you will also get the opportunity to shape our unified security solution.\n\nBasic Requirements\nYou’re not expected to have all of the following skills, but they will be useful in performing your job. We are looking for someone who:\nCan demonstrate outstanding technical ability.\n\nIs a self starter and strong analytical thinker, able to reason through complex problems and propose solutions, as well as leveraging the experience of the team when needed.\n\nIs a passionate technologist with impressive infrastructure knowledge in Linux, AWS and/or GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, and Bash.\n\nTakes pride in what they do and is as committed to airtight tests as to implementing shiny new features, understanding not just day 0/1 needs, but looks forward to operating them at day 2 and beyond.\n\nLikes to find or develop - and then use - the right tools for the job, and share them.\n\nWants a career where their creative abilities will make a difference to the world of technology and where they will be part of an impressive R&D environment.\n\nWants to have their voice heard within the Team, and enjoys discussions and collaborations, but also is exhilarated by taking on a challenge individually and driving it through, whether that takes six hours, six weeks, or six months.\n\nIs proficient in English.\n\nIt is also considered a bonus if you have knowledge/experience of:\nCloud architecture development, ideally across Google Cloud Platform and/or AWS.\n\nA modern high level programming language such as Go, Python or Javascript.\n\nKnowledgeable in continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment processes and tooling (e.g. GitHub Workflows/Actions or Jenkins).\n\nDoes this sound like you?
