The successful individual in this role will participate in the development of Silvus’ MANET radios and other advanced R&D projects with an emphasis on Electronics Hardware/PCBA design.\nThis position is based at Silvus Technologies’ headquarters in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles, CA, and is on a hybrid schedule; a minimum of 3 days onsite per week is expected. On-site days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.\nThe following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time at its discretion.\nROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nComponent selection, schematic capture and PCB design of multi-layer PCBs (4-12 layers).\n\nWiring diagram creation for radio wiring harnesses\n\nValidate that new PCB and harness designs meet design requirements\n\nFollow best practices to achieve successful mixed signal PCB and harness design.\n\nDefine PCB stack up, materials, and design rules to meet performance requirements and manufacturing feasibility.\n\nPerform hardware bring-up, test, and root cause analysis on the bench, using common lab equipment.\n\nWork with PCB Designers, Software, FPGA, and RF teams for system-level implementation.\n\nEnsure designs do not produce EMI and are well isolated in high EMI environments.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related field.\n\nMinimum two (2) years of experience in multi-layer PCB design.\n\nExperience implementing digital communication peripherals at a hardware level, such as USB 2.0, Ethernet, I2C, and RS232.\n\nExperience designing power supply circuitry.\n\nStrong familiarity with test equipment such as DMM, bench top supply, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer.\n\nMust be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.\n\nAll employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.\n\nPREFERRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES\nExperience with Altium Designer.\n\nCompetency with simulation tools for high speed digital design and power supply design.\n\nProven experience with Xilinx FPGAs, SoCs and the Vivado IDE.\n\nExperience with audio or video codecs.\n\nKnowledge of compliance standards such as FCC, CE Mark and MIL-STD-461.\n\nExperience with MATLAB, Python, and/or C.\n\nAbility to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.\n\nProblem-solving, data analysis, deductive reasoning, and critical thinking skills.\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\n\nWORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nOffice environment.\n\nOccasional exposure to heat, cold, and allergens while performing tests or demonstrations in the field.\n\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:\nLift equipment up to 20 lbs. for the set-up of demonstrations and testing.\n\nPerform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.\n\nKneeling or squatting to access lower shelves.\n\nWalking/Moving in the labs.\n\nCOMPENSATION: $100,000 - $130,000 / annually\nConsistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity.
