This position reports to the Director of Software Engineering on the Software Engineering team.\nThis position is on a hybrid schedule, a minimum of 3 days onsite per week is expected. On-site days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The location for this role is Silvus Technologies’ headquarters in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles, CA.\nThe following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time at its discretion.\nROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nImplement software portion of MAC (Medium Access Control) and routing protocols.\nAnalyze and improve product security and robustness to meet certain regulatory requirements such as NIST FIPS 140-3 and Common Criteria.\nImplement network management software and web interface.\nApplication and user interface development for customer demonstrations and evaluations.\nImplement testing software and product performance and reliability testing.\nLinux system customization and scripting.\nImplement different security protocols and encryption algorithms.\nTravel requirement; rare local travel, as required by Silvus.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.\nDemonstrated expertise in C programming.\n NOTE - Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. permanent resident or U.S. citizen) due to U.S. government contracts.\nAll employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test\nPREFERRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES\nExposure to embedded system software development.\nFamiliarity with Linux kernel driver development.\nCOMPENSATION: $38.46 - $52.88/hourly\nThe salary range is NOT a guarantee and is based on market research and peer data and will vary depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.\nNOTE - As a US Federal Contractor, Silvus Technologies requires that ALL candidates being considered for employment for any position (regardless of level) MUST be a U.S. Person (permanent resident or citizen).
