It is responsible for developing and maintaining the infrastructure for two-way radio communications in Astro, Tetra, PCR & Private Broadband systems.Job Description\nAs a Control Hardware Development Engineer in our Public Safety group, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing control hardware solutions for use in public safety radio products.\nResponsibilities:\nSupport and maintain current shipping radio and console products.\nNew development and support of digital, analog, and audio designs used in our Mission Critical Public Safety communication systems.\nDigital circuitry development, including Microprocessor/DSP, FPGA, memory, and Ethernet interface.\nAnalog circuitry development, including audio circuitry, codec interfacing, audio gain, and power amplifier design.\nCircuit simulation of Electrical designs and utilizing the latest test equipment for circuit analysis and certification.\nAutomated test setup and execution using Python scripting.\nUtilize test equipment such as a scope, logic analyzer, signal generators, function generators, and audio analyzers to perform circuit testing and certification to ensure compliance with design requirements.\nDevelop intellectual property for the corporation.\nDesired Skills:\nDesign of digital circuits, experience with Microprocessor/Microcontroller, DSP, FPGA, and memory subsystem.\nDesign of wired network, experience with Ethernet PHY and switch. \nDesign of analog and audio circuits, experience with audio CODECs.\nMeasure audio performance utilizing associated measurement equipment.\nDesign using operational amplifiers, signal-to-noise design, dynamic range, clipping, and amplifier feedback circuitry.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nAs part of the design work, the use of a scope and logical analyzer, audio test equipment such as signal generators, function generators, and audio analyzers.\nKnowledge or experience with development tools such as digital and analog circuit simulators.\nExperience with Schematic capture tools, Cadence is a plus.\nExperience and knowledge in HDL and FPGA design are a plus.\nConsistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity.
