Motorola Solutions is an American company created in 2011 when Motorola split in two, taking the enterprise and public safety communications business while the handset operation became Motorola Mobility. It is the dominant supplier of land mobile radio systems to police, fire and emergency services worldwide, a business protected by long replacement cycles and deep integration with dispatch operations. Around that core the company has assembled video security and access control through the Avigilon and Pelco acquisitions, command centre software for emergency call handling and records, and increasingly AI-assisted analytics across the whole safety and security portfolio.

At Motorola Solutions, we believe that everything starts with our people. We’re a global close-knit community, united by the relentless pursuit to help keep people safer everywhere. We build and connect technologies to help protect people, property and places. Our solutions foster the collaboration that’s critical for safer communities, safer schools, safer hospitals, safer businesses, and ultimately, safer nations. Connect with a career that matters, and help us build a safer future.

This is a high-impact role requiring the ability to orchestrate multi-disciplinary teams to solve complex communications, enterprise IT, land mobile radio, and Command & Control (C2) challenges across key customer organizations-including, but not limited to, the National Guard Bureau (NGB), State Adjutants General (TAGs), Office of the Provost Marshal General (OPMG), Base Emergency Communications System (BECS), Installation Management Command (IMCOM), 7th Signal Command, and Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM). The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and the ability to act as a capture manager for large US Army based procurements to include requirements development, price support and final contract negotiations.

  • Requirements Formulation: Leverage deep industry and military service experience to shape customer understanding of policy, state/federal budgeting, Title 10/Title 32 operations, and future requirements.

  • Strategic Orchestration: Lead extended, cross-functional teams to identify and quantify multi-million dollar business opportunities within the active Army, National Guard, and joint DoD enterprise.

  • Operational Advocacy: Clearly articulate Motorola’s value proposition and long-term strategies to senior Army and Guard leadership, helping them envision next-generation capabilities, interoperable mission-critical networks, and civil-support applications.

  • Resource Alignment: Allocate internal resources and collaborate with external partners to meet the strategic needs of key Army, National Guard, and joint accounts.

  • Market Expansion: Explore new active, reserve, and guard customer segments, articulating direct value propositions for key stakeholders and Motorola Solutions.

  • Be heavily involved in the implementation of LMR, CAD, NG911 projects to assure requirement alignment and act as the trusted adviser to the government.

  • Provide a strategic plan for the implementation of the MSI eco-system to include the integration of current technologies and the expansion of services.

  • Lead our service organization in defining and quoting all services relating to the Army CONUS Enterprise (ACE) network and future opportunities with CAD, NG911, NGCS and MWN

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the AEs, MRs and reseller networks to advance the strategic goals of the Army and National Guard.

Qualifications:

  • Proven Track Record: At least 10+ years of experience in high-level business development, operational leadership, or technical leadership roles within the DoD, National Guard, or Federal/State Law Enforcement sectors.

  • Financial Literacy: Mastery of US DoD and National Guard budget/procurement cycles (PPBE process, dual-status funding streams), with the ability to navigate complex funding landscapes.

  • Technical Acumen: Deep familiarity with LMR/RF communications, Land Mobile Radio/P25 interoperability, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, and Command & Control (C2) platforms for defense support of civil authorities (DSCA) and tactical missions.
