This team is part of Motorola Solutions’ Command Center and Cloud Solutions division, which offers secure, reliable, and efficient team communications, workflow, and operational intelligence solutions for mission-critical public safety and enterprise markets globally.Job Description\nThe project utilizes a technology stack that includes .NET, Python, and Go, with an ongoing effort to migrate our Python codebase to Go. REST and gRPC are employed for communication between services. The project uses various Kubernetes techniques including headless services and custom scaling mechanism utilizing Kubernetes API. We are looking for a passionate Engineer, a Problem Solver to join the CPS Drive team. Your responsibilities will include:\nInfluence and create new designs, software, architecture, and methods for deploying large-scale distributed systems\n\nBe a contributing member of the teams that define the technical approach, system and software architecture.\n\nLearn and deeply understand the range of Motorola Solutions internal platforms\n\nCreate a technical approach and a design for new features that span the organization\n\nDrive new capabilities and requirements in our platforms to support new product features\n\nTake part in a on-call rotation (one sprint on, multiple sprint off)\n\nBasic Requirements\nOver 3 years of experience in Software Development and minimum 2 years of experience in developing scalable, cloud hosted applications.\n\nKnowledge .Net Core or Go.\n\nCuriosity to learn, explore and improvise the systems work under the hood.\n\nWillingness to work on any problem type - development, testing, deployment automation.\n\nAbility to learn and quickly adapt to solve practical problems.\n\nEffective verbal and written English communication skills.\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math or related fields or equivalent experience.\n\nOptional/Desired Qualifications\nExperience with hosting and developing applications using public cloud (Microsoft Azure or GCP or Amazon AWS) would be a plus.\n\nFamiliarity with Kubernetes.\n\nFamiliarity with Python.\n\nLinux operating system knowledge.\n\nIn return for your expertise, we’ll support you in this new challenge with coaching & development every step of the way.
