And we do so with a sense of mission, purpose, innovation, inclusion, and accountability.Job Description\nThe Presale Systems Engineer partners closely with customers and the sales team, delivering customer-driven, world-class, leading-edge, end-to-end solutions that rise to the challenges of first responder, government, and non first responder customers within the US Federal Government Civilian and Law Enforcement customer base. Working within a team of sales, service, engineering, and technical support resources, the Presale Systems Engineer is the overall owner of a solution’s technical design, ensuring we meet our customers’ needs.\nThe engineering team supports the entire ecosystem and concentrates on the following mission-critical technologies at various levels of complexity:\nPublic safety grade mobile voice and data networks\n\nAdvanced mobile devices\n\nPublic safety mobile broadband networks and devices\n\nIntegrated command and control software\n\nMobile and fixed video solutions\n\nResponsibilities:\nCustomer requirements discovery\n\nTechnology strategy development\n\nEnd-to-end system architecture design\n\nProposal development\n\nInternal and external technical presentations\n\nEquipment and software solution demos, including configuration and testing\n\nQualifications:\nBachelor's Degree preferably in Engineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering strongly desired\n\nOR 3+ years of experience in one of the following: Sales, Pre Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Public Safety experience\n\nMust be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain a necessary security clearance as required by government contract\n\nPresent complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences and makes them understandable\n\nAbility to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders\n\nExperience with wireless communications fundamentals and voice/data architectures - both public and private (e.g. APCO P25, LTE, 802.11, 3GPP 4G/5G, FirstNet/Frontline) - highly desirable\n\nExperience with Cloud (FedRAMP), IP networking architecture, protocols and security highly desirable\n\nKnowledge of RF coverage predictions, microwave design, traffic/capacity modeling, and related toolsets an asset\n\nThis position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's \"Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy\" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.\n\nLocation/Travel:\nAbility to work in the Linthicum Heights, MD office a minimum of 3 days a week\n\nMust be willing to travel up to 25% of the time\n\nTarget Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $100,000 USD\nConsistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity.
