The successfulindividualin this role will participate in the development of Silvus’ MANET radios and advanced research projects. This is an opportunity to work on all aspects of the system including device drivers, networking functions and services, encryption, and security features.\nThis position is based at Silvus Technologies’ headquarters in the heart of vibrantWest Los Angeles, CA, and is on a hybrid schedule. A minimum of 3 days onsite per week is expected. On-site days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.\nThe following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time at its discretion.\nROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nLead the architectural design and development of highly efficient low-latencyembeddedfirmwareonARM-based SoCs (e.g., UltraScale+), and optimizingLinux-based networking stacks forwirelessapplications.\nImplementation of the software portion of MAC (Medium Access Control) and mobile ad-hoc networking routing protocols.\nNetwork management software and web interface implementation.\nImplementation of different security protocols and encryption algorithms.\nAudio streaming and push-to-talk voice application implementation.\nAnalyzing and improving product security and robustness to meet certain regulatory requirements such as NIST FIPS 140-3 and NIAP Common Criteria.\nImplementation of testing software for product performance and reliability testing.\nDevice driver and board support package development and maintenance for bothARMand RISC-V based systems.\nLinuxsystem customization and scripting.\nPerform other related duties of which the above are representative.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant engineering fields.\n8+ years of relevantembeddedsystem software development experience.\nDemonstrated hands-on and lead expertise designing and developingembeddedfirmwareusingembeddedLinuxonARMprocessors, for networking, signal processing and/orwirelessapplications\nExpertise in Cprogrammingand experience inLinuxkernel driver development.\nMust be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.\n All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.\nPREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES\nKnowledge of and experience with different security protocols and encryption algorithms such as suite of CNSA algorithms.\nDemonstrated experience with socketprogrammingand various Internet/Ethernet protocols.\nUnderstanding of MAC and Networking layer of a communication system.\nExperience in AMD UltraScale+ MPSoC and Microchip Polarfire SoC BSP support package development.\nDeep understanding of Internet Protocol Security (IPsec), network protocols, data authentication and encryption.\nLinuxInterrupt Service Routine development.\nWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nOffice environment.\nOccasional exposure to heat, cold, and allergens while performing tests or demonstrations in the field.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:\nLift equipment up to 20 lbs. for the set-up of demonstrations and testing. Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.\nKneeling or squatting to access lower shelves.\nWalking/Moving in the labs.\nCOMPENSATION\nThe pay range is NOT a guarantee.
