We are committed to providing solutions that will allow customers to focus on their mission, and enable them to respond faster with smarter and safer decisions. We deploy and support products such as Computer-Aided Dispatch, Records Management Systems, Jail Management Systems, and Mobile Data Computing, among other offerings.Job Description\nThe Project Manager will report to the Regional Services Manager and will be responsible for managing the deployment of complex public safety solutions for Computer-Aided Dispatch, Mobile computing, Records Management, and Jail Management. The Project Manager is expected to lead and manage deployments across a wide range of customers including Statewide, Regional, County, and City level public safety jurisdictions. The Project Manager will manage a team of individual contributors across a number of disciplines providing leadership, guidance, mentoring, and support throughout all phases of the project.\nThis is a remote position which requires approximately 25 - 50% travel within the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast region. Strong preference for candidates based in the Virginia, Maryland, and DC.\nJob Details:\nLeads complex, large public safety applications (CAD/Mobile/Records/Jail) projects\nLeads and directs the work activities of the project team across organizational boundaries\nDrives strategic relationships between internal and external teams\nResolves issues between internal and external groups\nResponsible for the profit level for all projects under their control\nEstablishing and maintaining a project budget and schedule\nEstablishing and maintaining a communication plan with project teams and customers\nEstablishing and executing a risk assessment and mitigation plans\nEstablishing and maintaining a quality plan\nApproving invoices\nProviding system integration quotations and statements of work\nResponsible for creating, distributing, and presenting various project status reports and results\nWorks with the Project Management Office to identify and implement process improvement and best practices across the Project Management discipline\nParticipate in pre-contract evaluation of contract terms and scope in order to evaluate and mitigate potential risks/gaps\nParticipation in pre-contract oral presentations and customer negotiations\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPMP Certification preferred\nBachelor’s degree (or equivalent industry experience) plus 3 years of project management experience managing complex deployments and/or software application deployments, including integration with 3rd party products and services\nPrefer experience with managing projects for State and Local government agencies in public safety\nExperience with project risk assessment and risk mitigation strategies\nAbility to apply critical thinking skills to solve problems and make decisions\nMust be a self-motivated team player able to work effectively with general guidance toward objectives and have the ability to think outside of the scope of responsibilities and take initiative\nMust have excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills\nMust have previous experience leading and directing a team of professionals across organizational/functional boundaries\nMust be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer \nMust be able to travel up to 25 - 50% through the Northeast US\nThis position is subject to working in high-security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's \"Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy\" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers\nTarget Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $115,000\nConsistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity.
