Department Overview

Based in Norway, the Avigilon Fornebu team remains at the forefront of making the world safer, driving technology enablement and pioneering new product categories to redefine the physical security landscape. We are a team with start-up mentality backed with the strength of a global, trusted company.

Job Description

As a Senior Hardware Engineer at Motorola Norway you are involved in all aspects of design, prototyping, test and manufacturing of our products.

The position involves:

• Taking responsibility for hardware throughout its full lifecycle - from early concepts and development through industrialization, verification, compliance, release, continuous improvement, and long-term support

• Researching and evaluate emerging/gap technologies

• Examining and experimenting with use cases, test setups

• Designing, reviewing and supervising all aspects of the electronics in our products

• Hardware testing, troubleshooting and qualification

• Being part of our core hardware team working closely with all other disciplines

• Collaboration with manufacturing and sub-suppliers

Together with our video security department, you will get the opportunity to shape our security solution.

Basic Requirements

We are looking for someone with these professional skills:

• Master’s degree in Electronics design

• 5-10 years of experience in hardware product development

• A strong background in hands-on hardware design, with the practical engineering skills needed to make sound design choices.

• Passionate about technology and hardware product development

• Like to take things apart in order to understand how they work

• Interested in scripting and low-level programming

And personal skills:

• Is proficient in English

• Has good analytical and problem-solving skills

• Is enthusiastic, flexible and with a desire to learn

• Structured

• Enjoys building, tinkering and working with their hands
