Our main focus is implementing mission-critical digital mobile communication systems for Government and Public Safety customers.Job Description\nMotorola Solutions is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the implementation of complex, mission-critical communication system projects. The Senior Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for all project phases, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule, within budget, and to customer specifications.\n1. Project Leadership & Execution\nDirect and coordinate cross-functional project teams (System Engineers, Field Engineers, Field Service, and Service Shops) as well as third-party vendors for seamless project delivery.\nLead large-scale programs or complex components of larger enterprise communication initiatives.\nAllocate required resources in coordination with Scheduling and Engineering Management to meet corporate financial and operational goals.\nDirect project close-out activities and facilitate smooth operational handoffs.\n2. Planning, Governance & Financial Control\nDevelop, maintain, and execute baseline project plans, tracking deliverables, milestones, and critical path activities.\nManage the core triple constraints: Scope/Quality, Cost, and Time.\nUtilize standard PM tools (critical path analysis, action item logs, change orders, risk matrices) to resolve complex issues proactively.\nManage project financials, including budget establishment, variance auditing, pre-tax profit optimization, and revenue forecasting.\nDrive change management by controlling scope, schedule, and cost adjustments.\n3. Stakeholder Management & Communication\nAct as the primary point of contact for external customer organizations and internal senior executive stakeholders.\nConduct regular project reviews, status meetings, and performance reporting.\nBuild and maintain relationships across multi-organizational environments to ensure strong alignment and customer satisfaction.\n4. Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement\nApply PMBOK principles and Six Sigma methodologies to drive operational effectiveness and process efficiency.\nContinuously refine internal project management practices and frameworks.\nEducation & Experience:\nBachelor’s degree with 4+ years of project management experience, or 7+ years of progressive experience in project management, system engineering, or a related field.\nExperience forecasting and driving project revenue.\nTechnical domain experience in at least one of the following: Public Safety communications systems (e.g., Motorola Solutions ASTRO 25), Two-way radio/Cellular infrastructure, Military communications, IT Networks, Civil construction\nPreferred Qualifications & Certifications:\nProject Management Professional (PMP) is highly desired.\nFamiliarity with Motorola Solutions ASTRO 25 systems or Field System Integration experience.\nIndustry experience working with local public safety (police, fire, EMS) or federal government agencies.\nCandidate Requirements:\nMust be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract(s).\n25-50% travel required throughout territory to support assigned projects\nTarget Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 USD\nConsistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity.
