Connect with a career that matters, and help us build a safer future.\nDepartment Overview\nWe engineer the future of safety and security.Our connected technologies enable seamless, mission-critical communications for public safety and enterprise organizations, protecting people, property, and communities.\nJob Description\nJob Description\nWe are on the lookout for a cloud based applications developer on proprietary products and platforms, works across the complete cloud stack i.e. Software as a Service (SaaS), and/or Platform as a Service (PaaS) and/or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) leveraging suites like Salesforce.com cloud platform, Microsoft Office 365, Windows Azure, Google App Engine and Amazon Web Services/EC 2. The role demands interaction with product managers and other key stakeholders to drive an optimized solution within known constraints. The job also requires in-depth understanding of cloud storage services such as EBS, Amazon S3, EFS etc. Involves integration of cloud applications and require knowledge of APIs, pre-scripting, post-scripting and integration testing. Responsibilities:\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.\n\nOptimize cloud-deployed applications and backend services for maximum performance and scalability.\n\nImplement clean, maintainable, and reusable code.\n\nTroubleshoot and debug issues to ensure the highest level of application stability.\n\nStay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies and cloud development (AWS,Azure,GCP).\n\nWork closely with UI/UX designers to ensure the best user experience.\n\nCollaborate with stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to gather and analyse requirements, and translate them into technical specifications and implementation plans.\n\nImplement user interfaces with a focus on usability, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility, using modern front-end frameworks such as Angular (or React, or Vue.js).\n\nEnsure code quality and maintainability through code reviews, testing, and adherence to coding standards and best practices.\n\nProvide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior developers, fostering their growth and helping them improve their skills.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, front-end developers, back-end developers, and QA engineers, to ensure successful project delivery and meet project timelines.\n\nStay updated with emerging technologies, trends, and industry developments, and evaluate their potential application to ongoing projects.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, working closely with team members to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.\n\nParticipate in the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies, driving efficiency and effectiveness.\n\nContribute to the documentation of code, architecture, and processes to facilitate collaboration, maintain knowledge, and support future development efforts.\n\nBe well versed in using CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps to enable continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of software applications to AWS EC2 instances.\n\nCollaborate with development teams to ensure application code is properly integrated into the CI/CD pipelines and implement strategies for automated testing and quality assurance.\n\nImplement security best practices (DevSecOps) by actively utilizing and addressing findings from security tools like Mend, Checkmarx, SonarQube, and Nessus throughout the development and deployment process.\n\nStay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to web applications, cloud computing (AWS), and DevSecOps, evaluating their potential to enhance existing systems and processes.\n\nMentor and provide technical guidance to junior members of the team, review their work, and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system administrators, and project managers, to ensure successful project delivery and effective communication.\n\nBasic Requirements\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
