Connect with a career that matters, and help us build a safer future.\nDepartment Overview\nTETRA Software Engineering Team - Developing Tetra radios for communications and public safety solutionsJob Description\nResponsible for developing firmware for communication devices for the professional and mission critical markets in the commercial, government and industrial segments.\n\nParticipate in all aspects of the product development process including specification definition, design, implementation and testing and possess a good understanding of the various software lifecycles.\n\nCoordinate and participate in software design and code review.\n\nAbility to work and communicate well across different functional teams/design centers.\n\nWork alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology consistently apply best practices & continuous improvement.\n\nBasic Requirements\nPhD / Master’s / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunications / Computer Engineering or Computer Science.\n\nPreferably with at least 1-5 years’ working experience or equivalent in firmware development.\n\nEmbedded system debugging and strong analytical skills are essential.\n\nGood Programming & debugging skills in C/C++.\n\nExperience with Scrum/Agile/SAFe development methodologies.\n\nExperience in real-time embedded software development for communication devices, automotive applications, industrial automation and consumer products will be an added advantage.\n\nKnowledge of test equipment such as oscilloscope, audio/logic analyzer & signal generator will be an added advantage.\n\nGood foundation knowledge of microprocessors and controller design will be an added advantage.\n\nAbility to work and communicate well across different design centers\n\nKnowledge in Perl, Bash, Python, C# programming would be an added advantage.\n\nMust be creative, independent, good team player, and highly motivated to learn and adapt to fast-changing technologies and environment.\n\nCandidate must be willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang.\n\nTravel Requirements\nNoneRelocation Provided\nNonePosition Type\nExperiencedReferral Payment Plan\nNoEEO Statement\nMotorola Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
