The software developer will be a member of a team working on applications our customers use to communicate and administrators use to configure and maintain customer systems. The position is available with our team in Schaumburg or Chicago.\nJob Description\nWe are seeking smart, self-motivated software engineers to be responsible for designing, developing, unit testing, and integrating software to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of elements of the telecommunication infrastructure.\nThe employee will need to closely collaborate with other teams across our global organization. To be successful in this role you must value teamwork and communication as well as working closely with other engineers in small, dynamic, Agile teams.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline \nAt least 2+ years of professional software development experience preferred \nFoundational programming skills including understanding of software development principles, data structures and algorithms\nPractical experience (internships, co-ops, or academic projects) developing in a structured, strongly typed language preferably Java. \nPractical experience using a scripting language such as Python and/or Bash\nExposure to DevOps, continuous integration, and automation environments (eg. Jenkins, Ansible)\nPractical knowledge of using a version control system like Git/Bitbucket\nExposure to telecommunications technologies and network protocols (TCP/IP, TLS, UDP)\nAble to break-down product or system level problems into sub-problems that are addressed with innovative designs\nAble to communicate ideas to peer engineers and direct managers clearly and concisely\nTarget Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 USD\nConsistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity.
