While operating primarily as a hands-on\ntechnical expert, you will also mentor engineers, guide architectural discussions, and drive\noperational excellence across team projects.\nJob Description\nKey Responsibilities\nArchitecture & Automation Design\nDesign and implement scalable, resilient, and automated platform architectures across on-premises enterprise datacenters, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\nLead the design of infrastructure automation pipelines, configuration management workflows, and environment orchestration using an automation-and-optimization approach. Configuration Management & Deployment\nDevelop, standardise, and manage infrastructure playbooks, roles, and automation workflows using Ansible and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (Automation Controller / AAP).\nOversee end-to-end on-premises infrastructure deployments, hybrid cloud integrations, and migration strategies.\nManage structured configuration datasets using YAML, XML, JSON, and environment- specific parameters across disparate platforms.\nScripting & Tooling\nWrite production-grade, maintainable scripts and tooling primarily in Python, supported by extensive Bash and legacy/specialized Perl scripting for automation, integration, and operational tasks.\nMaintain, refactor, and modernize legacy automation scripts (Perl/Bash) into modern Python and Ansible-driven solutions. Operating Systems & System Administration\nProvide deep technical expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration, kernel tuning, security hardening, storage configuration, and troubleshooting.\nEnsure platform security standards, compliance auditing, and system updates are automated seamlessly across large server fleets. Technical Leadership & Collaboration\nServe as a senior technical escalation point for complex platform, deployment, and infrastructure issues.\nLead and assist project teams through architectural design reviews, technical planning, and task execution.\nMentor junior and mid-level engineers in automation best practices, clean code/scripting standards, and modern platform engineering principles.\nRequired Qualifications & Experience\nExperience: 6+ years in Infrastructure Engineering, or Platform Engineering, with strong experience in a Senior Individual Contributor capacity.\nLinux Expertise: Expert-level administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating systems.\nAutomation Platform: Deep hands-on experience with Ansible and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) for enterprise configuration management and orchestration.\nScripting Languages: Strong proficiency in Python (primary modern scripting), Bash (system automation), and Perl (legacy script refactoring and system automation).\nData Formats: Advanced familiarity working with YAML, XML, JSON, and structured configuration schemas.\nCloud & On-Premises Experience:\nHands-on experience architecting and operating On-Premises datacenter deployments.\nDemonstrated hands-on experience provisioning and managing infrastructure in Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\nBasic Requirements\nPreferred Qualifications\nRed Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation.\nExperience with enterprise CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).\nKnowledge of infrastructure provisioning tools (e.g., Terraform) and containerization ecosystems (Docker, Podman, OpenShift/Kubernetes).\nTravel Requirements\nUnder 10%Relocation Provided\nNonePosition Type\nExperiencedReferral Payment Plan\nYesEEO Statement\nMotorola Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
