Job Description
This position is for a Software Engineering internship opportunity at Motorola Solutions in Plantation, Florida. The candidate will be responsible for developing and testing enterprise level, Windows based applications.
These are applications written in C#/.NET8/10/Framework4.8 on both the client & server side with WPF frameworks, with the addition of Java and SQL DB operations, and a roadmap directing it towards cloud & WEB services.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Work in an Agile/Scrum team that analyzes, develops, designs, maintains, and tests software for the organization’s products and systems.
- Teamwork in a multi-site, world-wide development environment
- Finding, tracking, and repairing device software defects
- Performs system integration of software and hardware to maintain throughput and program consistency.
Preferred Skills:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- Familiar with C#/.NET on Windows platforms/C++/Java
- Experience in the following is a plus:
- Database: SQL
- UI: WPF
- Data model: Entity Framework
- System Communications: CoreWCF, REST, OpenSSL
- Dev Environment: Visual Studio 2017 or greater
- Code Source Repository: Git (BitBucket/GitHub)
- Work Tracking: Jira (Atlassian)
- Documentation: Google Suite, Confluence (Atlassian)
- Strong communication and problem solving skills.
Basic Requirements
- Candidate's Graduation date must occur on or after December 2027.
- Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in one of the following degree programs: Computer Science, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Must be a US Citizen, permanent resident or be an MS student with work authorization (F1 Visa on CPT accepted only for masters-level students).
