Our products are a lifeline to our public safety customers - firefighters, police officers, and other first responders.Job Description\nThis position is for a Software Engineering internship opportunity at Motorola Solutions in our expanding Cork office. We are looking for software engineers & software testers with a strong interest in embedded systems to help expand our team and deliver the next generation of communication devices to our customers. Our mission is to ensure that the products meet the requirements and related quality level before they are released into the field. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of software quality.\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:\nWork in an Agile/Scrum team to analyse, design, implement, and test new two-way radio products and features\n\nTeamwork in a multi-site, world-wide development environment\n\nFinding, tracking, and repairing RTOS device software defects\n\nCreate and execute unit, integration, system, load, and acceptance tests\n\nExecute test cases, analyse results and report all detected issues/defects\n\nCollaborate with other team members and test & engineering managers.\n\nBasic Requirements\nExperience in C/C++ is a plus\n\nExperience in real-time embedded software is a plus\n\nStrong communication and problem solving skills is a plus\n\nExperience using version control; Git is a plus\n\nExperience with Linux is a plus\n\nExperience with embedded development/debug tools (such as emulators/JTAG, etc.) is a plus\n\nBasic Requirements\nCurrently pursuing at least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, BIS or a related field.\n\nIn return for your commitment we will support you with development every step of the way.
