As part of GDSC, you will join a team that champions excellence in technical and digital disciplines and supports projects throughout the lifecycle, from concept to completion.\nAs part of GDSC in India, you will work alongside Mott MacDonald colleagues internationally, delivering projects across commercial, residential, retail, offices, education, healthcare, airports, data centres, hotels, sports and events venues, and metros and stations.\nJob Description\nThe Façade Engineer will support the design and delivery of building envelope systems across project stages, with a strong focus on technical quality, multidisciplinary coordination, project requirements and applicable standards.\nSpecific Responsibilities\nUndertake façade engineering calculations, including structural performance, wind load assessments, thermal movement and deflection analysis. \nSupport compliance with relevant Australian and/or UAE and KSA standards and project requirements. \nDevelop façade weatherproofing and detailing solutions that support durability and protection against water, air and moisture ingress while maintaining architectural intent and constructability. \nPrepare technical specifications and design documentation, including performance requirements, material selection, testing criteria, procurement documentation and construction details. \nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to design coordination meetings with architects and structural engineers. \nSupport design development from concept and proof-of-concept studies through detailed design, tender documentation, contractor review, testing and construction-phase services. \nReview contractor submissions, shop drawings and technical reports with guidance to support compliance with project requirements and industry standards. \nAssist in integrating structural integrity, weather tightness, thermal performance, fire compliance, acoustics, durability, maintenance and sustainability considerations. \nUse relevant software tools, including CAD, Strand7 and THERM, as required for project delivery. \nKey Responsibilities\nDelivering excellence, alongside brilliant people by: \nTechnical Excellence: Demonstrates a willingness to develop skills and competence, adopt future technical skills and contribute to new ideas, while independently focusing on delivering quality in assigned work tasks. \nProject Delivery: Delivers quality professional services and works with guidance, but not constant supervision, to manage and support projects, ensuring timely, cost-effective and quality delivery. \nCollaboration: Works with and through others to accomplish goals, stays in regular contact with colleagues, shares information and values alternative ideas and input. \nQuality and Risk Management: Works with guidance to apply company standards and best practices, ensuring adherence to policies.
