With a strong and growing presence in key markets such as the Bay Area, Los Angeles, and Austin, Texas, we are expanding our impact through projects that reflect our values of technical excellence, sustainability, and improving communities.\nBased in our Los Angeles Senior Engineer will play a lead technical role in the development and delivery of projects. Our transportation portfolio spans a wide range of complex work, including bridges (rail/LRT/road), retaining walls, underground and buried structures, transit station structures, and other civil infrastructure.\nResponsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:\nDeveloping conceptual, preliminary, and detailed final designs using industry-standard analysis and design software.\nActively participating in project, client, and team meetings.\nAssisting and mentoring junior staff.\nReviewing, preparing, and modifying designs.\nAnalyzing and preparing type studies, reports, specifications, quantities, and estimates.\nCoordinating with multidisciplinary teams, including technicians and design professionals across offices.\nAttending onsite meetings across project locations, including our growing markets in Los Angeles and Austin.\nGaining exposure to project, commercial, and client management.\nUndertaking a ‘digital by default’ approach in deliverables.\nSupporting our ‘Purpose’ in everything you do.\nCandidate Specification\nThe ideal candidate will have the following experience:\nA bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET-accredited university.\n10+ years of structural engineering experience.\nExperience working with AASHTO, Caltrans, AREMA, ASCE, and CBC design codes and standards.\nExperience with California seismic analysis and design.\nProficiency in designing structures and foundations using cast-in-place reinforced concrete, precast/prestressed concrete, post-tensioned concrete, and structural steel.\nA methodical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work independently.\nStrong verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging clients and teams across multiple regions.\nExcellent technical writing and attention to detail, including preparation of drawings and reports.\nStrong teamwork and collaboration skills across distributed teams.\nA California Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain within one year.\nA positive attitude, strong commitment to technical excellence, high ethical standards, and an eagerness to contribute to a wide variety of projects-particularly in our expanding Los Angeles and Austin markets-are essential.\nBring your expertise, curiosity, and drive to make a difference.
