With a significant backlog of work, we are searching for a Traffic Engineer with NCDOT traffic signals experience and knowledge. This role is based in our Raleigh, NC office.\nResponsibilities of the position will include, but may not be limited to:\nProvide project and technical leadership in Traffic Engineering\nDemonstrate thorough understanding of traffic engineering principles required to complete projects for clients in the southeastern US region\nProvide input and responsibility on a wide range of transportation projects\nDemonstrated the ability to direct and coordinate work with subject matter experts and consultants to meet schedules\nAssign, review, and evaluate project deliverables for quality and consistency with project scope\nDeliver technical projects and reports\nWe invite applications from candidates with the following experience:\nBS (Civil) Engineering, or equivalent\nProfessional registration preferred (not required)\nProfessional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) a plus\n5+ years’ experience in Traffic & Transportation Engineering preferred\nSignal design, signal timing plan development, signing plan development, ITS and/or traffic control experience a plus\nExcellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills\nExcellent written communication skills and attention to detail\nExperience or training in computer applications and operations (Microsoft Office, MicroStation (ORD and/or V8i), etc.)\nBring your expertise, curiosity, and drive to make a difference.
