We aim to define how multiple cell types organize and differentiate during development, maintain themselves during homeostasis and regenerate following injury.\nWith guidance and mentorship from Dr. May, the successful candidate will spearhead a project using single cell multiomics and computational approaches to elucidate epithelial cell dynamics in the human nose and sinus. The study will involve the use of animal models and in vitro systems to characterize genetic drivers of epithelial architecture and function.\nThe May lab is a member of the Black Family Stem Cell Institute at Mount Sinai and the recently established Institute for Airway Science at the Mount Sinai Health System and Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
