You'll combine technical expertise with people leadership to ensure our data platform remains secure, scalable and fit for the future.\nIf you would like to join an ambitious and forward thinking firm whose inclusive culture and values recognise that its people are fundamental to its success, we would love to hear from you.\nApplications closing date: 21 November\nAbout the role\nIn this role, you will:\nLead, mentor and develop a team of data engineers, supporting performance, career development and technical excellence\nOwn the delivery, performance and ongoing development of our data warehouse and data pipelines across our Microsoft Fabric environment\nDesign, build and support complex data integrations, transformation models and engineering solutions across multiple business systems\nEstablish and maintain engineering best practices, including source control, code review, automated testing and deployment processes\nEnsure the platform remains reliable, secure, scalable and cost effective through monitoring, optimisation and capacity planning\nDrive data quality, governance, access management and compliance with data protection requirements\nLead the adoption of AI enabled engineering practices and develop standards that support innovation while maintaining appropriate controls\nManage relationships with external technology partners and consultants, ensuring quality delivery and value for money\nAct as a senior technical adviser to business stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear and practical solutions\nPartner with the Data & Analytics Manager and wider business teams to support strategic initiatives, platform adoption and client facing data services\nAbout you - essential requirements\nSignificant experience leading the design, delivery and ownership of enterprise data platforms, warehouses or large scale data engineering solutions\nProven experience leading, mentoring and developing technical teams within a data, technology or consultancy environment\nHands on expertise in SQL, dimensional modelling, data transformation and pipeline development\nExperience with DBT or a comparable data transformation framework\nExperience managing third party vendors, consultancy partners or outsourced technology providers\nExposure to delivering data products or services directly to external clients through APIs, integrations or data sharing solutions\nDemonstrable experience working with Microsoft Fabric or comparable cloud based data platforms, together with strong engineering and deployment practices\nAbility to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and influence senior stakeholders across a business\nPractical experience applying AI technologies within engineering workflows and an understanding of the controls required for effective implementation\nWe are committed to providing an inclusive and barrier-free recruitment process.
