We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Fund Accountant to join our Fund Services team in Jersey. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll gain exposure to a variety of fund structures and clients, developing technical accounting knowledge and practical experience in a supportive and collaborative environment.

About the role
In this role, you'll:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for a variety of fund clients.
- Develop an understanding of client structures and transactions, seeking guidance and feedback to support your development.
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts, financial statements and other financial reporting deliverables.
- Collate information and documentation required by auditors.
- Build effective working relationships with clients, auditors and third-party service providers.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure client expectations and reporting deadlines are met.
- Support the resolution of accounting queries, providing information and explanations where required.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with the firm's policies, procedures and quality standards.
About you - essential requirements
- An interest in accounting and financial services, with a desire to study towards a relevant professional qualification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for working with financial data.
- A positive, proactive and flexible approach, with a genuine desire to learn and develop.
