We make pioneering brands like Firefox, the privacy-minded web browser. Now, with more than 225 million people around the world using our products each month, we're shaping the next 25 years of technology and helping to reclaim an internet built for people, not companies. Our work focuses on diverse areas including AI, social media, security and more. And we're doing this while never losing our focus on our core mission - to make the internet better for people.\nThe Mozilla Corporation is wholly owned by the non-profit 501(c) Mozilla Foundation. This means we aren't beholden to any shareholders - only to our mission. Along with thousands of volunteer contributors and collaborators all over the world, Mozillians design, build and distribute open-source software that enables people to enjoy the internet on their terms.\nAbout this team and role:\nMozilla Finance is responsible for strategic resource allocation, overseeing day-to-day financial operations as we scale our mission impact with new and existing products, technology, and business models.\nCore Services brings together the functions Mozilla runs on: Legal, People, Data Science, Trust & Safety / Customer Experience, Strategy, IT, Cloud Engineering & Ecosystems, and Security - teams supporting every part of the Company.\nWe are seeking a detail-driven Senior Financial Analyst, Core Services to execute the recurring planning, reporting, and analysis that supports this portfolio. This role will be responsible for preparing the forecast, reconciling actuals through close, maintaining headcount and vendor tracking, and producing the reporting that reaches budget owners and the COO. This role reports to the Finance Manager, Core Services, who leads business partnership with the functional leaders, and works closely with teams across the organization.\nTo succeed, you will need to work accurately across a broad portfolio, translate variances into explanations a non-finance audience can act on, and balance competing cycle deadlines with outstanding attention to detail. This position requires a resourceful self-starter who takes recurring processes from start to finish and improves them along the way.\nWhat you'll do:\nPrepare the Core Services forecast each cycle. Build and load cost center detail in Pigment, validate inputs, reconcile against the prior cycle, and document what moved along with the drivers behind it.\nAssemble the monthly budget update. Prepare variance to plan, drivers, and open items for budget owners and the COO, ready for the Finance Manager to carry into leader conversations.\nPartner with Accounting through monthly close. Tie out actuals, accruals, and forecast, and resolve coding and timing issues at the source rather than correcting for them downstream.\nMaintain headcount tracking. Keep position-level tracking and the headcount-to-plan bridge current, coordinating with People and hiring managers on start dates and backfill assumptions.\nTrack vendor and cloud spend. Monitor POs, commitments, renewals, and run-rate changes across the group. Take in cloud cost information prepared by the Cloud Engineering team, carry it into Core Services and consolidated Company reporting, and review it for anomalies and initial questions.\nApply AI and automation to recurring work. Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort across the forecast, close, and reporting cycle, improving the speed and reliability of what the team produces. Experiment with tools and share what works.\nSupport Core Services teams day to day. Field data and reporting questions directly, escalating items that call for a partnership discussion.\nWhat you'll bring:\nCore Experience\n5+ years of work experience in business unit FP&A, corporate FP&A, strategic finance, or a comparable analytical finance role, including hands-on work through a full budget and forecast cycle with close and variance analysis.\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent experience.\nTechnical Skills\nAdvanced spreadsheet and financial modeling skills. You care about formula cleanliness, auditability, and accuracy.\nExperience with enterprise planning tools (Pigment, Adaptive, Workday, etc.) and accounting systems (NetSuite preferred).\nGrounding in accounting fundamentals, including accruals and the monthly close cycle.\nEnough familiarity with cloud cost or FinOps concepts to interpret reporting prepared by a technical team and question what looks off.\nInterest in applying AI, automation, and systems thinking to reduce manual effort in recurring finance work.\nAbility to balance multiple competing priorities and cycle deadlines without loss of accuracy.\nCommunication & Collaboration\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain a variance concisely to a non-finance audience.\nAbility to work across functions, distilling detail into structured summaries that leaders can act on.\nPositive attitude, intellectual curiosity, and ability to learn quickly.\nNice to have:\nExperience supporting technical or G&A functions in a shared-services finance environment, where the internal team is the customer.\nExperience building automations or AI-assisted workflows within a Finance context - or the drive and resourcefulness to learn.\nExperience with BI tools, SQL, Python, Power Query, or other data querying and programming languages.\nSuccess Factors\nYou will likely be happy and productive in this role if you…\nPossess an ownership mentality. You get things done accurately with minimal oversight, proactively flagging risks to timelines.\nHave low ego and high flexibility. You approach problems with your opinion on the best solution, but can accommodate and adjust to differing viewpoints.\nAre resourceful. You identify alternative solutions and resources to continue progress.\nAre looking to build depth across a complex portfolio before moving into a lead partnership seat.\nWhat you'll get:\nGenerous performance-based bonus plans to all eligible employees - we share in our success as one team\nRich medical, dental, and vision coverage\nGenerous retirement contributions with 100% immediate vesting (regardless of whether you contribute)\nQuarterly all-company wellness days where everyone takes a pause together\nCountry specific holidays plus a day off for your birthday\nOne-time home office stipend\nAnnual professional development budget\nQuarterly wellbeing stipend\nConsiderable paid parental leave\nEmployee referral bonus program\nOther benefits (life/AD&D, disability, EAP, etc. - varies by country)\nAbout Mozilla \nMozilla exists to build the Internet as a public resource accessible to all because we believe that open and free is better than closed and controlled. When you work at Mozilla, you give yourself a chance to make a difference in the lives of Web users everywhere. And you give us a chance to make a difference in your life every single day. Join us to work on the Web as the platform and help create more opportunity and innovation for everyone online.\nCommitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging\nMozilla understands that valuing diverse creative practices and forms of knowledge are crucial to and enrich the company’s core mission. We encourage applications from everyone, including members of all equity-seeking communities, such as (but certainly not limited to) women, racialized and Indigenous persons, persons with disabilities, persons of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions.\nWe will ensure that qualified individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodations to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment, as appropriate. Please contact us at to request accommodation.\nWe are an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race (including hairstyle and texture), religion (including religious grooming and dress practices), gender, gender identity, gender expression, color, national origin, pregnancy, ancestry, domestic partner status, disability, sexual orientation, age, genetic predisposition, medical condition, marital status, citizenship status, military or veteran status, or any other basis covered by applicable laws.
