MP is rapidly evolving from a materials producer into a leading U.S. manufacturer-and our people are driving that transformation.\nPosition Overview:\nThe Staff Accountant - Fixed Assets is responsible for the accurate accounting, tracking, and reporting of the company’s fixed assets. This role ensures compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies while supporting month end close, and capital project reporting. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams\nPosition Responsibilities:\nMonitor Capital Projects and work with project managers to ensure timely capitalization.\nSupport month end, quarter end, and year end close processes.\nPrepare and complete general ledger processes, including posting monthly journal entries and adjustments.\nRecord fixed asset transactions such as additions, transfers, and disposals for capital assets in SAP in accordance with Company policies.\nPerform monthly reconciliation of Fixed Asset Accounts.\nPerform routine Fixed Asset observations and ensure proper asset records, including identification of disposals.\nOther Functions:\nMaintain Company compliance and reporting standards.\nOther duties as assigned.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.\n3+ years of Fixed Asset accounting experience.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and applicable accounting and finance systems.\nDetail oriented, proficient in time management, able to multitask and ability to prioritize workload.\nMP Materials is Proud to be an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
