MP is rapidly evolving from a materials producer into a leading U.S. manufacturer - and our people are driving that transformation.\nPosition Overview:\nThe Senior Financial Analyst will be pivotal in developing and enhancing financial reporting processes and materials for Magnetics internal and external stakeholders, partnering with operations, business owners, and functional leaders. Additionally, this role will support financial close activities, annual planning, quarterly forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic projects. This position will offer a unique opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing and dynamic environment and would be a key member of MP Materials’ Magnetics FP&A team.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nSupport all aspects of financial analysis - management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial close activities, and strategic projects.\nCollect, analyze, and interpret data, reports, and research findings.\nCollaborate with FP&A team and other groups to establish and continually improve processes.\nPresent conclusions and recommendations with clear distinction between fact and opinion.\nDevelop and maintain dashboards, weekly manager reports, and recurring analysis.\nPartner with operations, business owners, and functional leaders on cost center management, headcount planning, and business initiative support.\nEnsure compliance with financial guidelines and company policies.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree with a focus in finance, accounting, engineering, or mathematics.\n3+ years of work experience in manufacturing or public company experience is desired.\nStrong understanding of financial statements.\nStrong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.\nExperience with manufacturing accounting systems, SAP is a plus.\nExperience with business intelligence software such as Power BI or Microsoft SQL is a plus.\nDesired Qualities:\nMust be highly analytical, intellectually curious, and a fast learner.\nAbility to identify objectives, collect and process data, analyze and interpret results, and present conclusions and recommendations.\nMust be self-directed, highly collaborative, and able to handle a variety of responsibilities.\nAbility to work with all levels within the organization, including senior management.\nAbility to work with internal customers and external agencies for compliance and controls.\nStrong verbal and written presentation skills.\nFamiliarity with or keen interest in learning about industrial processes.\nMP Materials is Proud to be an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer -EEO is The Law.
