MP is rapidly evolving from a materials producer into a leading U.S. manufacturer-and our people are driving that transformation.\nPosition Overview:\nMP Materials is seeking a hands-on Industrial Mechanic to be an integral part of maintaining and operating a new metal, alloy, and magnet-making facility in Fort Worth, Texas. This is a rare opportunity to have a vital role in the development of a greenfield advanced manufacturing facility and helping to define the future of American manufacturing. The facility contains a broad range of chemical, electrical, mechanical, and thermal processes, including high temperature chemistry, handling of molten metals, powder metallurgy, machining, and assembly. The Industrial Mechanic reports to our Facilities and Maintenance Manager.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nConduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.\nTroubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.\nAssist in the installation and setup of new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of parts and supplies.\nCollaborate with production teams to address maintenance issues and improve operational efficiency.\nEnsure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.\nParticipate in training programs to enhance skills and stay current with industry advancements.\nPerform general facility maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs as needed.\nRespond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.\nMaintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to all safety protocols.\nBasic Qualifications:\nProven experience as an Industrial Mechanic in an industrial or manufacturing setting.\nStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.\nFamiliarity with maintenance management software is a plus.\nAbility to read and interpret technical documentation, including schematics and blueprints.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nStrong communication and teamwork skills.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.\nWillingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as required.\nMP Materials is Proud to be an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
