MP is rapidly evolving from a materials producer into a leading U.S. manufacturer-and our people are driving that transformation.\nPosition Overview:\nMP Materials is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Production Supervisor who will be responsible for building and leading a team of operators and technicians that will transform raw materials into finished rare earth magnets in our greenfield manufacturing facility. This is a rare opportunity to have an early role in the restoration of a critical manufacturing capability to the USA. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on Supervisor with experience in leading and developing a large team of operators in a 24/7 industrial operation. The new facility will contain a broad range of chemical, mechanical, and thermal processes. The Production Supervisor will plan and manage resources across all processes to meet the production schedule. Following start of production, the Production Supervisor will be assigned to a 12hr Rotating Shift Schedule.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nSchedule and manage work of manufacturing operators to ensure on time completion of each step of the operation\nFocused on managing the production of MP’s Finishing operations including Machining, Passivation and Cleaning, Packaging, and Inspection\nMonitor labor efficiencies and redeploy labor as required to meet the production schedule\nMonitor manufacturing processes to assure product yields and quality standards are met\nManage operational performance to established KPI’s and identify and track other leading metrics\nPartner with Production Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to identify improvement opportunities, investigate process deviations, and implement robust\ncorrective actions\nActively participate in continuous improvement projects (CIP) such as Kaizens\nBasic Qualifications:\n3-5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment\nExperience managing and training operators\nKnowledge of 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles\nExperience in Quality Systems ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949\nHands-on approach to identifying and solving problems\nStrong computer skills\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities\nComputer literacy\nPreferred Skills:\nFluency in Spanish\n5S and Kaizen implementation experience\nERP experience\nMP Materials is Proud to be an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
