We want you to work on assignments that you are passionate about, grow professionally, and maintain a healthy work–life balance.\nAbout the RoleAs a Diagnostics Design & Verification Engineer you will play a key role in shaping system reliability, safety, and serviceability throughout the product lifecycle. In this role, you will collaborate closely with system architects, embedded engineers, and product owners to design, implement, and verify state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic solutions.Responsibilities\nAnalyze system architectures to identify failure modes and diagnostic needs.\nDefine diagnostic concepts, monitoring strategies, and mitigation mechanisms.\nDevelop detailed system and software diagnostic requirements in accordance with ASPICE (SYS/SWE).\nStructure, configure, and maintain DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) and UDS services, Vector BSW stack.\nEnsure compliance with key automotive standards: ISO 14229, SAE J2012, SAE 1979.\nDesign, implement, and execute diagnostic test cases for embedded systems.\nSpecify datapoints for backend analytics, predictive maintenance, and fleet insights.\nMaintain diagnostic databases for manufacturing and aftermarket stakeholders.\nMonitor and support the execution of the organization’s test strategy.\nPerform hands‑on vehicle and rig testing, including fault injection.\nConduct system‑level verification to ensure diagnostic performance meets requirements.\nRequired Qualifications\nExperience working as a System Design Engineer, collaborating closely with electrical engineers, product owners, and cross‑functional teams.\nDeep understanding of embedded systems and their lifecycle.\nHands-on experience with embedded software and hardware design.\nStrong knowledge of automotive communication protocols: CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UDS, XCP.\nExperience with HIL (Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop) testing environments.\nAbility to read, interpret, and analyze code.\nPractical experience with vehicle and test‑rig diagnostics and measurement.\nProficiency with tools such as Python, Excel, Wireshark, DLT Viewer.\nFamiliarity with Linux/WSL environments.\nValid Swedish B‑category driving license.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working with AUTOSAR and POSIX-based environments.\nKnowledge of aftermarket onboard diagnostics and service‑oriented tooling.\nUnderstanding of emission‑related monitor design and OBD legislation.\nBackground in system architecture development and/or project management.\nWho are we?At Mpya Sci & Tech, we believe in a sustainable working life, and we’re building a culture where you can:\nBe Dedicated\nBe Brave and Curious\nBe Inclusive and Allowing\nWe believe that real talent lies in those who dare to keep growing throughout life.
