performing technical duties related to manufacturing, assembly, and testing of electrical and pneumatic automated valve assemblies.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities (not all inclusive)\nIndividual must be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.\nPull stock and buyout items for assembly and shipment of customer orders or transfers. \nInspect all fabricated and purchased materials to ensure that customer specifications and industry codes and standards are met. \nDocument non-conforming material and subsequent required corrective action. \nDocument and maintain files as required to permit certification of compliance with product specifications. \nAssemble and test mechanical, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic automated assemblies. \nPerform assembly on various types of electric or pneumatic assemblies. \nPerform pre-installation inspections to assist the project team. \nServe as point of contact for technical/quality issues for local sales representatives. \nReport customer concerns and technical issues to local sales representatives. \nCoordinate communication between the sales office and the warehouse to ensure efficient and timely deliveries to customers. \nEstablish a friendly and effective working relationship with manufacturers and internal and external customers using written correspondence, proper phone etiquette, and other effective interpersonal skills. \nMaintain 24-hour availability as needed in order to lend assistance to the Branch Manager. \nMount actuators to valves. \nPerform modifications to actuators (seals, spring changes). \nMount and calibrate basic accessories (Limit Switches, Solenoids, Quick exhausts). \nBuild panels to mount accessories. \nAbility to read schematics. \nBasic understanding of electrical wiring. \nAbility to read wiring diagrams. \nPerform other duties and projects as assigned. \nTake reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others.\nReport workplace hazards, injuries, or illness immediately. \nEducation, Experience & Ability Requirement s\nAny combination of requirements that provide knowledge and abilities necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities will be considered.\nHigh school diploma or a GED (General Education Degree) or equivalent combination of education and work experience that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work. \nOne year of mechanical experience. \nTwo years of related industry experience, either with MRC Global or with a similar work environment. \nMust have a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable record at all times. \nStrong knowledge of, or ability to learn, products and processes. \nBasic mechanical knowledge of gearing, bearings, and moving assemblies. \nBasic knowledge of electrical and pneumatic type equipment usage (e.g., pneumatic and electric tools, fixtures and test equipment). \nBasic knowledge of electricity and electrical components. \nKnowledge of and ability to use basic hand and power tools. \nAbility to learn and operate material handling equipment. \nAbility to establish working rapport with local management, technical inside and outside sales representatives, warehouse associates, and other branch personnel using proper phone etiquette and other effective interpersonal skills. \nTyping and computer skills, including MS Office (Outlook). \nKnowledge of or ability to learn MRC Global warehouse business processes and software. \nKnowledge of operating standard office equipment. \nAbility to learn and be proficient in working with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic valve automation assemblies. \nAbility to read and translate schematics and P.I.D.s. \nAdditional Qualifications\nMust have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status. \nAbility to read and speak the English language proficiently in order to communicate with others, understand and interpret safety instructions, and respond to inquiries. \nAbility to understand and comply with MRC Global guidelines and expectations, including the Code of
