Orders may include a company-wide range of products, such as pipes, valves, fittings, and electrical products. Also, miscellaneous admin functions and miscellaneous warehouse duties as needed.\nSalary Range\n$24.50 - $28.00, depending on position qualifications, job-related skills and experience, education, offerings.\nResponsibilities\nIndividual must be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.\nEnter and maintain purchase orders, customer orders, procurement matches, and trade discounts as needed. \nMonitor both proactive and customer-driven expediting of material. \nMaintain knowledge of current price levels of material. \nUpdate contracts and price lists as needed. \nObtain price quotes from vendors for resale to customers. \nAnswer immediate and periodic requests from internal and external customers and branches pertaining to the sales functions, including warehouse errors, shortages, and damaged and wrong material. \nTransfer or remove excess and/or dead stock from branches. \nSet up the correct description of all inventory items. \nAdd new inventory to the system as needed. \nMaintain various records and files, including rebate files, stock transactions, price catalogs, customer lists, product catalogs, and discounts. \nHandle confidential information related to product and resale costs. \nUnload material, tools, and equipment from vendor trucks. \nInspect material for minimum MRC Global quality requirements. \nMaintain site inventory by assisting in inventory audits. \nStock and transfer material, tools, and equipment to the appropriate shelf, bin, rack, or pipe bundle by a predetermined sequence, including bin location, size, type, style, and length. \nMark the material with the correct identifying information. \nAssemble customer orders from stock and package orders in boxes and pallets as per customer requirements. \nPull orders for delivery and stock-to-stock transfer. \nLoad onto the correct truck or transfer to the packing area using a forklift. \nPrepare documentation for UPS, LTL, SH, or Air shipments. \nEnter appropriate inventory (incoming and outgoing) information into MRC Global specific software, as needed. \nMaintain warehouse cleanliness in compliance with OSHA and MRC Global safety policies.\nTake reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others. \nReport workplace hazards, injuries, or illnesses immediately. \nPerform other departmental duties or projects as assigned. \nQualifications\nAny combination of requirements that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities will be considered.\nHigh school diploma or a GED (General Education Degree). \nTwo years of warehouse experience, either with MRC Global or with a similar work environment. \nMust have a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable record at all times. \nThorough knowledge of material and products offered by MRC Global and general knowledge of pricing for PVF materials. \nAbility to learn MRC Global specific software and scanning. \nAbility to become certified on and adequately operate forklift trucks, overhead cranes, and other warehouse equipment. \nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. \nCustomer service mindset, strong reasoning, math and analytical skills, organizational, and time management. \nAbility to establish working rapport with local management, corporate employees, and other branch personnel using proper phone etiquette and other effective interpersonal skills. \nAdditional Qualifications\nMust have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status. \nAbility to read and speak the English language proficiently in order to communicate with others, understand and interpret safety instructions, and respond to inquiries. \nAbility to understand and comply with
