The Sales & Service Representative creates and/or entersquotes, processescustomer orders, and resolvescustomer issues. The Sales & Service Representative plays a critical role in maximizing value for customers while driving MRC Global strategies for safety, gross margin growth, and financial/operational Responsibilities\nIndividualmust be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.\nRespond to customer requests for quotes by sourcing products from the Company's existing inventory or purchasingthem externally.\n\nBuild quotes that simultaneously create value for the customer and profitability for MRC Global.\n\nIdentifyand actively pursue sales opportunities to contribute to overall sales growth.\n\nAbility to proactively engage with customers and utilizeproduct knowledge to make recommendations and offer add-on solutions that maximize customer delight and drive sales growth.\n\nUtilize MRC Global systems/software to create quotes, locateavailable products/materials, process customers’ orders, create vendor purchase orders (PO), and perform other tasks related to customer needs.\n\nAdhere to customer contract requirements related to pricing/non-contract pricing, freight, delivery schedules, and KPIs.\n\nVerify the on-time shipping/delivery status of pending inbound and outbound shipments.\n\nCommunicate status proactively with the customer and adjust product sourcing efforts if needed.\n\nProactively respond to customers’ needs and concerns with options by using a problem-solving approach.\n\nValidate that products specified in customers’ quote requests are permittedper their respective approved manufacturer’slist (AML) or other customer-provided specifications.\n\nReferencecustomer processing guides and other tools/resources to maintainfamiliarity with customer preferences/processes.\n\nConsult withamanager, other MRC Global departments, and suppliers as necessary to create the best possible customer experience.\n\nService next-level customer needs, including orders involving externally sourced labor, return material authorizations (RMA), purchase order changes, and orders involving special invoicing needs.\n\nCommunicate responsively and professionally with customers, suppliers, and coworkers to execute all main steps of the order process.\n\nRequired Experience\nOne (1) or more yearsofexperience in a dedicated customer-facing role, inside sales, and/or warehouse services.\n\nOR recent completion of post-secondary education includingany of the following: Technical/Trade School, associate degree, bachelor’s degree, preferably with studies in industrial or sales.\n\nMust have a current, valid driver’s license andanacceptable record at all times.\n\nSkills & Abilities\nCompetent in the use of computers and software applications.\n\nAbility to communicate and promote ideas and transfer detailed knowledge to others.\n\nAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.\n\nAttention to detailandworkwith a sense of urgency.\n\nWorking
