Support safety by example and provide training when necessary to warehouse personnel. \nFill in, as necessary, for Warehouse or Hub managers. \nIdentify opportunities to “lean” or improve the MRC Global warehouse. \nSupport warehouse operations by assisting with and training new employees on shipping, receiving, put-away, and pipe yard processes. \nImplement MRC Global’s bin location system at new or acquired locations. \nSupervise and assist employees in setting up pallet racking and bins for new warehouse set-ups and warehouse moves. \nSupervise and plan for the set-up of new warehouse locations or warehouse relocations. \nPerform annual assessments. \nAssure proper maintenance and appearance of fleet and compliance with fleet safety and DOT regulations. \nCommunicate and administer company policies to all employees throughout the branch. \nMaintain confidential information pertaining to supervisory duties, operations, and contract information. \nLead and direct physical inventories. \nEfficient in the use of all forklift equipment types. \nAssist in Handheld Scanner support and training. \nPerform other duties and projects as assigned. \nTake reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others. \nReport workplace hazards, injuries, or illnesses immediately. \nEducation, Experience & Ability Requirements\nAny combination of requirements that provide the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities will be considered.\nHigh school diploma or a GED (General Education Degree) or equivalent combination of education and work experience that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work. \nFour (4) years’ experience working in a warehouse or closely related environment. \nTwo (2) years of supervisory experience or demonstrated capability to supervise (warehouse-related supervision preferred). \nAbility to operate and become certified on forklifts, order pickers, cranes, and other typical warehouse material handling equipment. \nDemonstrated in-depth knowledge of basic warehouse functions and procedures. \nMust have a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable record at all times, and the ability to travel as needed to MRC branches and customer locations upon request. \nDemonstrated competence in the use of computers and software applications. \nAbility to travel to MRC branches and customer locations, commonly staying away for two-week periods and occasionally longer stays. \nWorking product knowledge of pipe, valves & fittings, oilfield and gas products. \nAdditional Qualifications\nMust have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status. \nAbility to read and speak the English language proficiently in order to communicate with others, understand and interpret safety instructions, and to respond to inquiries. \nAbility to understand and comply with MRC Global guidelines and expectations, including the Code of Conduct and
